Clan Founder

Well, at Tyr 2 friends and I made a clan, a friend was Founder.
He quitted, clan failed, but I stayed in the clan (only active on).
And some days ago (after around 3-4 months of his inactivity) i became Clan Founder (really nice, I get 2 million gold now I go to Horus ^^) but why?
I don't really understand it, can someone please explain?

At that time we just knew that UG quitted, further nothing, so I am not satisfied with your answer :p

Because for whatever reason they cant transfer clans (it seems) so the clan founder is given the cash he will need to reform the Clan on Horus. When you are on Horus you will be clanless but if you meet up with your members you can reform.

I guess I know answer, he can't be found as friend on horus anymore, so i guess char --> delete.

What do you mean? Clans just didnt get transferred, live with it ^^

I'm not sure I understand, but it sounds like:

Before seeing the email from NGD, you found yourself marked as the founder of the clan, and with a nice pocket full of gold, while still on Tyr.

It sounds like NGD might have already been starting the database cleanup in preparation for the migration to Horus.


Make sure every clan has an active player marked as founder. <- You!
Drop 2 million in gold into his pocket, because the clan's getting lost. (This is when you logged in and found the changes. Good thing you didn't run off and spend the two million to start a new clan!
Migrate players to Horus, maintaining gold and property, but losing clans.

I'm not sure why they couldn't have done 1 and 2 after they had shut down the Tyr servers, maybe that was to minimize the downtime.

Anyway, that's just a guess, we may never know for sure unless NGD decides to respond.
