I thought so long about writing this and now i cannot resist anymore. There should be some unwritten laws in the game that should be respected. The first things I think of is the camping of the altars.
Please stop it. Every Realm, Every player. And yes I include myself and Syrtis in this.
It is not fair to camp at the altars..... Fun is going away for those who get killed. Its frustrating...
This is not good for the clime in our community....
Furthermore its not good to try to kill the teleporter.... I saw her damaged very often. Think about the low levels testing the warzone finding out that they are too weak. They want to get back but the teleporter is back. They might think they've done something wrong. (Okay i know that this example is exagerated, but it should be an example).
Don't we want a nice and good community? I think we want.
I hope that some people read and think about this thread.
I decided for myself that I will NEVER camp at an altar or running in a realm zone just for killing low-levels to gain RealmPoints.... Its completley sensless to me.
Thanks for your patience.

Hi, just a note.
This very same subject was discussed in the spanish forums a long time ago. Many players agreed that camping is bad and to play nice.
Have you been camped lately? Whatever you answer is, it will speak for the results of that old thread.
Cheers.

I really hate spawn camping. I have decided a while back that I will never do that again.
If I'm around spawn and I get killed, that doesn't bother me too much. But when the same guys stand at the alter and waits for 60 seconds to kill you again... that is pitiful. If the 2-3 alsius warriors tonight had their way, they would have killed me over and over. Luckilly some more syrtis showed up.
I remember one of the guy's name. It was alsius rank #3, Carnotauro. :fingers:

To put save points in the war zone been a bad idea, that's my opinion, all players must to respawn into the walls. To have some fast ways for go to the war zone (a teleporter at every town for example) will to solve the problem. Is imposible to stop the spawn camping if you respawn in front of your enemy.

Yeah, wherever you get teleported to, that is where they will camp. So, that doesn't really help.
I think there should be a large force field around the entire save area, so that enemies get zapped and killed if they touch the force field.

camping the wall is annoying too, walking into the wz to find yourself killed
and not killing lowlevels is impossible, you're a level 40 and you won't know whether he's level 33 or 20. So you really can't prevent this. I would suggest an unarmed peace thing where you ran around unarmed and then people won't shoo t at you, although I think it'll be abused too much.
As for camping, camping is boring, I never liked camping as I'm an action guy, I have the alsius pride which jrlg23 talks about (well the honourful part of it) but am a loyal elf to syrtis :p.
Also myxir what is your ingame name?
IMO this is something ngd should act on, there are some pretty good suggestions on how they could do this posted somewhere here. Why enforce this do you ask? Imagine the game going live and drawing large numbers of new players. You will always have ppl who spawncamp then, and no amount of appeal will stop them from doing it. So something like a protected zone at the altar or similar where you can wait, chat up your friends/clanmates and kick some spawncamper butt would not only be simple to implement, but would also get rid of this annoying issue once and for all.

I dont see the big issue about campers, unless it an army doing it and that is very rare.
You have 60 secounds to refine your tactic, call for help or run for it.
Stay dead until enough allies show up, wait for campers get bored or killed.
Lots of people run back to save looking for help, they deserve to be punished. ;D
As for the community i think it will get a bit friendlier (not too firendly) as bugs get sorted and the arena is available on main server.

That respawn dizzyness thing should not start its countdown if you don't move. That way, you can ask for help without being attacked, that easy.

Well I hope the problem gets smaller now... I think the new dizzyness is a good thing :)

Camping isn't that big of a problem since the update, but now people are running all the way to the fort with dizziness. This brings a new problem.

I have not played since the update, but tonight I am going to. I will post what I think about the new dizzyness/update tonight or tomorrow.
