I wonder if anyone has clarified equipment resistances. let me explain what I mean.

We can loot items with say +3% Resist Electrical Damage.

That's all fine and dandy, but how much resistance does item "X" give

i.e.

Bad (Slash)
Normal (Pierce)
Very Good (Blunt)
Very Good (Fire)
Bad (Ice)
Very Bad (Lightning)

Very Bad= what Resistance?

There is a tool here (http://www.claninquisition.org/index.php?action=calculators)for calculating your true armour vs varied damage types

The armor resistance ratings affects your armor points, against that type of damage, by the percentages mentioned. On the other hand, resistance reduces damage taken by the percentage shown.

So, generally, resistance means damage reduction while armor pieces ratings means increase or decrease in armor points.
