Hey guys, I'm new :D! After 3 tries, I finally confirmed my mail so I can post in the forums! Cool, isn't it?

I was wondering what class would be best for starters, and also, what realm. I'd play on the Horus server (oh, and why is it still offline?). I'm interested in barbarians, warlocks and marksmen! Thanks.

hiya. welcome to regnum

i can see by your class interest that you the type of person that like do dish out the pain. Barb's do the most damage as far as ive experienced but i think the deadliest of the 3 is warlocks, not to mention the fastest to grind. Mark's are good too, they have an awesome range. its always good to be able do pwn from 40m away.

in terms of Realms, i would suggest Ignius or Alsius. Syrtis has by far the largest population (doesnt mean we the best tho, most of us are tards who reproduce like rabbits) so the Alsius (Goats/Blues/Midgets) and Ignius (Piggies/Tomatoes/Reds/Smurfs)
could do with all the help they can get.

Enjoy the game for now, follow the quests while they last and be prepaired to spend hours grinding but the rewards are awesome. when you strong enough to join the war you wont be able to stop :D

Okay :). It's downloading very slow though, about 40 kb/s (ish), but at 71% now.

well. although it doesnt really apply with internet download speeds. slow and steady wins the race (tortoise and the hare).

mine isnt all that quick either (250 KB/s at best)

come to think of it. slow and steady doesnt work in regnum either. if you go slow, you are just gonna get ganked by a hunter.

Wise words :). Mine is usually at 200 kb/s too. I don't know why is it that slow, but meh, it'll be done.

it could be because of the torrent (if that is how you are downloading) i usually go direct download.

I usually go direct too, but I checked the speed of it, and it was 40-ish too. It seemed better to use torrent then, as I could pause/resume it at any time, and shut my PC off.

haha there should be more such quests... example:

- downloading the game = 2500 exp 3000 gold

- waiting for the update = 1000 exp 2500 gold

- deciding on a realm = 1000 exp Breastplate of chosen class

- deciding on a race and class = 2000 exp 2500 gold

- choosing a name that isnt taken already = 10000exp an epic lvl50 weapon of you chosen class + one magnanite ignot
