New character models changing our look?

Some people have complained that the new models have changed their characters look. (added beards or colors)

NGD will you give everyone a 1 scroll to change appearance per character to keep the peace?

I know that the face I chose is the face I had for years and the face i wanted...
If my characters face looks different.. I want free cosmetic surgery to design it to my liking.:clapclap:

i think everyone should get a scroll to change it and if u bought any premium hair face ect we should get our scrolls given back too us for the ximerm we pair for them.

Instead of scrolls to change your appearance you should just be able to take your character to the location of char creation, I don't know how this is for alsius and syrtis, but for ignis char creation is just behind a big door when you start in the inizone.

Open this door, and when you enter there you get your char placed as in the creation screen, where everything customizable in the charcreation is available to be applied to your existing character.

What you choose can then tally up a ximerin cost, adding more cost for each part you customize. One free use.

I personally love the way that my hunter looks mohawk and all, though i do sympathise with others on their situation, I would say a free go a re-doing the eyes face (skin tone?) is a good idea but maybe not hair as it prolly is one of NGD's biggest money makers.

My dark elf conjurer now has a big "i beat yo ass down >:C" kinda face instead of the peaceful smile he used to have... It's not a huge issue but i'd love to change it. People spend time choosing how their char is going to look like.

Hell, imagine someone that creates his char the day right before this next update and get's it all scrambled up the next day. How would you feel about that?

EDIT: expresions look epicly awesome. Just not everyone got the one they wanted. We could use one simple scroll, like the gems or the special items we got when they were just implemented.

I think such a player can start all over again easier than someone who already has invested time and effort to get the character level 50. :)

I can understand how important appearance is to some people. I myself, spent some time getting my toons to look "right". I think it would only be fair to allow players to re-adjust their appearance after such a drastic change as this. IMO NGD should give players a chance to reset all their character's appearances if players find their new looks to be displeasing.

hair should also be included in this 're-setup' of characters ... the reason being, that some of the hair styles (basic, & premium) have been changed and look nothing like the chosen (or paid for) hair styles

just putting in my 2-cents that the hair should not be discluded for this re-vamp

According to our character creation layout we are on a boat in the ocean heading towards Alsius. If they made the boat on the pier as our activation point that would be cool, otherwise they would need to introduce swimming without drowning for us. This would be a headache though and require much time to run through the inner realm with 6 chars from wz. A scroll would be much more dynamic and allow ppl to return to war a lot easier.

About beards: Two of my clanmates saw their characters with a beard (Nordos), but this was only because they were using safe mode. I use full graphics details and I see them without beards, try to check out your characters with full graphic details and shader model 4.0.

I just hope that not all characters will have a different beard from now on, so they have to buy that Premium-Item :)

I'm glad there will be an option to change the look again, however i do truly hope it will be one time free for everyone. in a good faith move to satisfy everyone who believes their character now does not resemble what they originally chose.

one thing though, at least on testing, i wish it was in inventory or free, so we could get a look (since i have no xim i really cant comment on the face models n such if i feel theres an issue or even a compliment to be had.

I tried one on Amun yesterday and was not 100% convinced about the user interface used as I could not zoom in on my face enough and the window where you see the changes is pretty small.

Well at least there is an item now which is definitely a plus :).

And yeah I very much doubt that we will get a free one though although it would be cool.

I am waiting for the new haircuts to be available on Amun :).

Tons of people have already paid Xymerin to make their character look the way they wanted it to. It's extremely crappy that we'll have to pay a large amount of Xymerin to fix the changes that NGD has made.

I agree, though i think my armor is wicked, my guys face and hair is a big change and i don't like them alot honestly. he looks like he's ill or something. It would be reasonable to give people the option to change their character with this huge update, just like the tyr players got a name change scroll when they merged horus.

I think more than waiting can't be done at this time.

If there's a scroll for free or not isn't really important at this moment. I think the chars will change their look a few times till they come on liveserver. Have seen the char of my daughter looking "not so good", next patch looking "very good", last patch "not so well". So there's nothing but waiting for the "final version"
