i saw in the very old video that players wearing guard armor, why wheir they takeing out? i like to wear my own realms armor if NGD could bring it back its really not too much to ask but i would like to wear guard armor and the shield.

I believe the video you are referring to is the one which was from closed beta, in which case NGD were just testing the armour in all likelihood.

However some time ago it was suggested to make guard armour a premium item, IIRC NGD said no because they didn't want players looking like guards.

However with the new models they did say that there could be more variety in armour now and that 'yes that may include realm specific armour' though I wouldent expect any more major graphical changes any time soon.

One graphical change I would like to see is the improvement to shields. We need new shield skins and the ability to dye them. While they are at it maybe they could make the drop rate more humane. Bows, armour, staves, 2 handed weapons drop very well. Shields used to but they have become very rare items.

A regular high level one without any bonus stats are hard to drop much less + bonus ones, at least in Ignis. There is a rumour that beastly brown yetis drop them though.

Added to that , shields cannot be had at all from lucky boxes.
Two handed weapons, while the chance is small, can still be had. Shields cannot ( as far as I know, tested extensively on AMUN ). I am not asking for the making of an epic or magic shield (do these even exist?) but a lucky box should have some sort of chance to drop a shield. Any thing else is just discriminatory.

While I am on this, why should not there be epic or magic shields. Every item available for every other class has the chance to get epic/ magical gear on every component. Why should knight be any different? Knights have been neglected for too long in my view. The only attention we get is to reduce our effectiveness even further.

+1, i agree Knight armour may look the coolest but drop rate of sheilds of fine-steel with a +7 bonus on them is like OMFG I dropped an awesome sheild now, sheilds with bonuses are either sold at stupid prices or horded never to be seen again, that they cant be painted is just stupid.

Also i dont like to let people further down but at the rate its going i see a Nerf to Army of one coming too ¬¬. (not based on anything just the most useful skill for a knight that anyone can see as OP. which it isnt it's a necessity)

I havent dropped a Special or higher sheild ... ever, and dont remember dropping a normal one (over level 10) since joining Horus.

Paintable sheilds, and increased sheild drop rate, and sheilds from box's are clear areas for improvement.

On topic with guard armour, some sheilds are pretty cool put I prefer my current armour over the guard armour avaiable, which is basically chainmail with a clothy overthrow and the realm logo printed in most cases. Or that strange beige stuff Syrtis warrior guards wear.

I wouldent make guard armour being available very high on the graphical to-do list. I would like to see more variation in armour to make sets more realm-specific but in the graphic department there are still mobs that need to be overhaulded and a few other things that could be improved. But I dont see that happening any time soon since gameplay is top of the to do list right now. Maybe in a few years If Im stil hanging around (doubtfull, but maybe Ill check in every year or so after I 'quit' whenever that will be)

I agree shield drops are a rare thing, and when they happen they are usually junk

I would LOVE to have an ignis GC shield for my knight. They look super cool.

I cant believe that NGD are not noticing that they are sitting on a large ammount of xim sales NOT having sheilds painted, if they would allow them to be painted massive ammounts of players would immediatly buy/spend xim to paint them.

What is EVERY knight in RO x min 400 max of 800 xim?

NGD should make possible not only to paint shield (this is a MUST) but maybe
let a clan to buy (and to reserve only to their member) a shield crest (or logo,
or bear or mark call it how do you prefere) and let the knight of this guild
to have the shield with their own clan mark (XYM's for yaaaa babies!!)
and color..

Not to mention if there was a way to 'emboss' or logo them with a jpg/png upload. I would personally not balk at 5-10k xim for that.
