In light of general apathy, and discontent in the Kingdom of Alsius, in the spirit of Gandhi, we, the undersigned, are hereby protesting the general state of Alsius. The population imbalance has persisted for such a duration that the current state of affairs in the Kingdom of Alsius is generally recognized as irreconcilable. That is, there is a general understanding that any attempt to seize or defend a fort is largely without possibility of success and, as such, often many will not even make the attempt as a result of this decried condition. This cancer of the mind has so seeped its way into the psyche of the Alsian that it is not entirely uncommon to hear the Alsian protest "what is the point", when called upon to come to the aid and defense of their realm.

Further sit-ins will be organized on an ad-hoc basis. Please feel free to join us in the future when notified in the Alsius channel chat. Just remember, this is not clothing optional, come naked that your grievances may be properly aired and bared in the cool Alsian air.

Or you can just use the english forums in http://www.alsius.com.ar/AlsiusForum/, maybe if a few of you join one of the admins can create an exclusive Horus subforum. We also talk a lot about ingame tactics, configurations, etc....and that's the same on all servers. I think it would be great to share our experiences in both servers also ;).

Instead of Sitting idling at the gate complaining about "Realm Balance"

Why not..

Fight
Help Coordinate Players.. - Not Everyone in a Realm has to Listen or follow basic tactics - but if majority are doing it people fall in line..
THIS! is the biggest issue that pisses me off

Were getting Farmed instead of everyone Regrouping - we have 5-6 players who are solorushing to the fort to attempt a attack & fail horribly.. all you have to remember is

if your so upset with balance then do something useful - Recruit & help Coordinate and teach new players - offer them class advice setups and more

in the end..

Boycotting the main purpose of the game is useless - NGD can't simply push a button and balance the realms population it's something that takes time & the players of the game to Accomplish

atm theres a steady pace of players who just asume everyones zerging Alsius & don't even show up to fight atm - apparently grinding there alts is time better spent

When in fact our numbers are even close or even to our enemy - minus a fort

Indeed it's not fair anymore that Alsian players can't have mutch war with win and have change to get all the gems...

They need more bonusses (I'm from Syrtis but yeah it's not fun to play this game for them and when it's getting impossible to do something more ppl will stop in Alsius till almost none are left)

NGD should do like free realm changing scrolls for limited amount of syrtis people, so they could join Ignis or Alsius. And of course there should be a player cap to Ignis, because it isn't as underpopulated as "The Kingdom of Alsius"

That could be debated. While on average I would agree, Alsius seems to have much less of a problem with time zone's, in Ignis when I log in in the morning, saying hi in clan and realm chat doesn't get a response for almost 10 minutes. And when it comes to night Ignis seems to make up a nice size army, maybe because people are realizing that we can't have fun anymore thanks to Syrtis zerg, so they come on at night for a more even fight (I know thats why I stay up until 3 in the morning just for a fight) Alsius seems to be quite balanced throughout time zones, they seem to have about 10-15 war capable people the entire time.

This is just my observation from Ignis, to avoid pissing myself off I didn't talk too much about Syrtis population. -.-

klutu dearest: we are protesting complaining, not the realm balance - please read again. and i agree about your observations re: wars. what i do not agree about is us not helping others. i even organize wz tours for noobs :) so wrong person to patronize about helping fellow Alsians.
we are not "boycotting the main purpose of the game" but Alsian attitudes... besides Human rights Commision gives us a right to congregate and peacefully protest. :P

and the last observation - that's what is wrong with Alsius - we can't even joke here!

I'm in the top ranked (all 3 categories) in Horus/Alsius ... 10 minutes of silence in clan chat is very common. One night last week I was on alone for about two hours.

The population issue is so bad that we've accepted Syrtis help against Ignis and vice versa lately. We have managed to put together good sized war groups, however they don't last for more than an hour or so.

Transfers out of Syrtis would really help realm imbalance, but I don't see how NGD could do it without major problems. Equipment alone creates a huge problem for balance. As much as I would LOVE to see a few Tenax and Evendim items in Alsius, i don't think NGD wants to dump dozens of them on us. Offering blank accounts with matching coin and xp (even with incentives) would have people crying about lost gear .. or they would pass it along before they transfer, further increasing the gear discrepancy.

I think it's odd that you'd protest against Alsius' lack of motivation by not going to war, especially when this is a war game.

Syrtis has numbers and then some :thumb_down:
Ignis kind of has teamwork, only because most of the realm is on mumble ;)
Ignis also has that determination to give our rps to Syrtis ;)

I dunno what it's like for Alsius, but I only ever enjoy fights with you guys, fighting gelfs is no fun anymore.

This "we are underpopulated realm" looks like herd instinct.

Alsius at this moment has good point to start partisan war. Spit on forts, gems and invasions for a while (if you really need it try other realm or server).

You know... RO is a much more than bashing doors at forts.
For me open field fights and bridge wars are much more interesting. Sometimes in hunt parties you can learn much more about features of your class and team play than in fort wars.

Anyway, expirience you get in such battles will be usefull in fort wars. And BTW, [Horus]Ignis has already shown that high popularity isn`t so important as combat tactic and command play.

Like Klutu metntioned, theres much better ways to help the situation than standing around promoting what you are opposing...

Your forum, wiki, photos, rules, members list ... are not readable by non-registered users. That won't help people to become member.

Of course, keep private sections for trusted players.

You're protesting the Alsian attitude, well from what I know the attitude is not going to war because they don't feel they have a chance. You are not going to war because you don't think you have a chance because other people don't come.

This game would be 10x more fun if you could expect reasonably even fights across time zones. I'm certain a number of old-timer Alsians who were respected might have stayed if it were not so imbalanced. Arcan Heartsfang comes to mind at the top of that list when I think of this, along with Beardo, Fayablasta, etc... Lumi also comes to mind and while not universally respected I do know for a fact that he left the game (not the server/realm) because of realm imbalance. He's indicated as much multiple times.

This isn't a joke. The game would truly be better if something were done to balance the realms.

When I look at the RP rankings for Alsius, I see Alternates. This means the same players with their alternates are dominating the stats in a single realm. When I look at the RP rankings of clans on Syrtis, I see that the top 6 clans have nearly 1000 members. When I look at the same rankings for Alsius I see the top 6 clans in RP count have about 300 members.

This isn't a joke.

There are three ways how to bring the balance back.
Offcourse it s a thing that NGD needs to do. It is not players duty or work to bring balance into the realm war.
Firts: The easy ugly way. Disable new plyers to join the most populated realm (Syrtis)
Second: The nice hard way. More eyecandy for the realm that is less populated. Example Alsius. Typical Alsius armor, new mobs, new enviroment, more content for the realm.
Third: the NGD way. Do nothing. Soon everybody gets bored and the balance wil be back because no one will fight.

The forum is as inactive as it could be. Last time we used it was when Alsius was trying to organize an invasion a couple of months ago. Even then we didn't have much ppl join in and take part in organizing it.
Maybe that's why we fail :huh:
