hmm it's not balance but it looks like a very nice update :)

looking forward to the guard at saves :)

1 thing can i disable the new weapon effects ? i don't have the greatest computer atm and don't know if i can run this without losing more fps

I too like the guards at the saves, but are they much, much stronger than regular guards? If not, a strong and able group will be quite able in killing them. You could go so far as to make them invincible and could use devastating area attacks. Wil turn everyone right off going near the saves xD
If they aren't invincible, I hope no one gets RP or XP or items from killing them.

P.S. It's been a while since I've been on the game, so I probably sound a bit naieve in this post :)

It's really nice the check boxes besides the armor. The new animations for mobs are great, for now when i will see one of the Toll-Tars i will hear in my head this song..... (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kf8BT3wbZSo&feature=related)

The guards on the saves.... i thought save wouldn't be a sanctuary......

But 5K of xime for a team t-shirt?... mmmm

Confuse animation is broken. If confuse is casted and you are ambushed or kicked, confuse animation do not say on head but stay on air in front of you.

New save guard hits insane. I saw it do 2.6k single shoot.

Well, I'm really disappointed with this update.
It sounds like 99% visual and useless.
New models for the still bitchy and uber OP trolls, yay...
Except save guards I see no improvement and no bugfix (pet/summon controls are still bugged for example)
Plus, 5k Xim for a Team costume, no thanks...

Could we have less visual and more balance/bugfix ?

5k ximerins is really really high price for an event outfit. If you want more ppl to participate make them 500xim. I'm not buying this if price stay like this.

And another thing is that those Lucky Team premium items seem to randomly drop Team Cloths that you already have, which I don't find correct, since you can't trade any premium costumes to other characters.

i like the idea of a uber guard near the save, keeps campers away, but we realy want a balance/gameplay update, let the graphic's be what they are now and pls work on balance, so at least te forum spam stoppes, less work for Dky and you won't have any flaming mails, good for you and we will have a great time (if it's done in a good way) so it's good vor anyone.

however all of my previous problems remain (casting summons/sm buffs look broken on shader 2, but shader 3-4 work ok.

Redoing the troll is ok, but sad because its the only pet hunters use, so it makes me feel like you are aware of th pet OP ness right now, yet this is what we get..more reason to use one.

And mummy..well im sure the few grinders level 10-20 will enjoy it, but wish we got the same treatment as the favorite class of RO atm :)

hate sounding negative cuz i appreciate some of these things, the work that went into them visually, but..i want balance and fixes.

if its okay for me to throw in my 5 cents here:

this is going to be my second event that ill be taking part in and what i can say about the previous one is that i thorougly enjoyed it despite the dismay of majority of the community. I met a large part of the warzone community and learnt a great deal about fort and castle defending. I appreciate NGD going out of thier way to provide us with fun events like these to spice up the warzone every now and then. This new one sounds really fun and im looking forward to it.

If you read NGD's posts, they didnt promise any balance updates for this particular update but from my understanding this is the last stone in the way of that.

I think that the price of the footie kit is a little steep, and it puts me off getting them for all my 6 char's, as well as other members of the family.
Other than that the only problem i have seen so far is the bleedthrough on the legs when mounted on the horse.

as regard the event, there will be any way to drop the team shirt?

and i personally don't see the trails, i am on fixed pipeline, but also i heard of some friends not seeing it in shader 2

Sorry for repeating, I pasted this in wrong thread. I think this one is correct.

First of all I tested new update on Amun and here are my comments.


Smaller Tol-tars, +1 for that, now conjurers should be able to more easily (still not easy but easier) select the player to heal at door. Big tol-tars were causing chaos and it was hard to select other players.

Separate hide/show armor parts, +1 nice job. Now we have even more customized look.
Drawback is that old armor lacks details when compared to premium clothing from last event.
Example when I show lion leggings and hide everything else, leggings lacks details and does not mix with much nicer event clothing.
But very nice idea!! I appreciate it!! so +1 for NGD

Launcher now adjust texture quality according to available video memory. again +1 !!!

Altars of resurrection have a protecting guard near them. When clicking on one "[err][npc_instance_display_name][0]" and they're very hard, so not impossible. I would put one more guard like that and give them a proper range, so players with uber range still cannot the players spawning at altar. But its a nice idea +1 for NGD again.

Reward after event. As I understood the winner is the team with most RP ?
Is that true ? If You look at the top RP ranking 17 Syrtis, 9 Ignis, 4 Alsius. Why ?
Because Syrtis attack in zergs and win most of fights, why in zergs ? Because they're overpopulated. Who will win the event ?
Also is the reward for team or for one player ?
Please make it clear... -1 if this is RP based event and reward for single player with highest score :thumb_down:

Trails: Warriors' regular attacks, although in the client mode that I am running it, I don't see them. Someone mentioned that enabling trails on normal attacks will make it as one out of 1324434..etc manga games. Probably new players will not see the difference, but I like effects only on special skills and not normals.


No offenses please, those are my personal feelings about new 1.6.2 patch ;)

OMG. One more... football costumes really breaks atmosphere in this game imho. Please lower the price of costumes and make them temporary :(

The -rp penalty at saves was enough.
So many times when I am out hunting and find noone, I find 2-3 people idling at save afk, which I don't even get -rp for when killing.
In that case, those idiots can mind themselves for getting killed, because IF you are gonna stand AFK at a save you can aswell log out.

These guards won't solve the real save camping, because those armies are big enough to easily kill those guards.

Here's what I found so far:

Apparently it only works on Shaders 3 and 4.

It works for all weapons; but if they're not howing up, just re-equip them, they seem to stop working sometimes.

Non-gemmed, minor and major gemmed weapons will leave a neutral white trail; like this:

However if you have a Great Gem in your weapon, you'll get a specialised trail, according to the damage type; like the lightning gem in my hammer:

They don't have that good defence, nowhere near a GC.
Me and a warlock almost managed to take one down ourselves at Eferias save just by nuking it.

It has no resistances to CC's, so with multiple BS it will be a pice of cake for 2 warriors to take it down.

The only thing it will hinder is people getting killed by lone people hunting near saves, which is bad imo.
People should be punished for afking at saves when they could aswell logout and save some server capacity.

Well... atleast you can still kill those idiots with aggro mobs, that's good.
(On a second thought, maybe those stupid guards will attack aggro mobs too... great...)

I hope not, because if they're doing 2.6k damage... It's only fair if they protect the save, and not the surrounding mile. So I think their range should be ~20m.

It seems to only work with gems in the wep, in built damage such as the fire in an ignean axe or the ice on my Eve hammer have no effect on the trail.

This would only prevent that the ppl at the safe get killed by warriors, ranged classes would still take them down easy.
Id like to see the safes on a platform, maybe 10m around the safe, from whic you can jump down but not get on it again. You could not be killed after spawning there but players were unable to run back to the safe to escape a fight.

You're exaggerating (how many meters?). Those guards are needed.

I know there is no point in protecting AFK ppl. Those ppl are already automatically logged out by timeout mechanism and thats other problem.

The problem of topic is that players killed while grinding and spawning at altar are killed again by save campers when protection wears off. Usually campers are waiting till the protection wears off. The non-hunter class cannot run away, the only option is to log out. Now its possible to heal and fight small groups of 2-3 hunters camping the save. Before protection wears off guard will deal enough dmg to camper and definitely help to escape.

Update seems ok, I think game is even running little more smooth for me. But I still think stalker around save for those who respawned and didnt move would be a better idea. And it would also be more in spirit of save, magic to protect you than some guard. I m against adding more and more NPC fighters in game.
New mobs look great!
Football players are quite hard and I believe low level player will have no chance to ever drop from it team cloth, which would make him feel excluded from event.

Also, Serbian shirt is a kind of joke. People from Serbia cannot buy Ximerin because our country is blacklisted @ PayPal (ban should be lifted this year finally) and friends from other countries cannot buy Xim for us because of NGD new security implementation. Also, shirts are not tradable.
In whole world there are only 4 champions, and chance to find them on time AND drop is near to 0.

Ice-, Lightning- and Firegems should have an own animation, physical dmg-, hc, as and cs gems have the same, which is also different to the animation of weapons without a gem. Its a great gem?

I think it's a mistake to put guards at the saves where the teleporter exits, like Imp, Shana or Efe save. These teleporters can't be used by the enemies anymore, cause you lose your buffs if you go through the teleporter and are simply dead if you arrive on the other side. :thumb_down:

Also I think Anpu's idea of a stalker after death would be more useful than guards at the save. :thumb_up:

At least put the telexit far enough of the saves, that everybody can use them, or get rid of saves at all in the wz.
