I chose Ra-Syrtis when I first joined,

And when I finally broke down and joined Horus..after numeros times saying I wouldn't I joined The same realm on Syrtis. I didn't reallyfactor in Realm balance in my choice though, as I believe I made the character at the time when syrtis wasn't the zerg it is now (was actually another debate within myself to stay lol)

I've played Ignis for a day or two a (long) while back. Some really nice people there. Didn't pay much attention to the frat boys realm chat (Alsius' is probably not much different).

On Ra i started on ignis, then i deleted my chars and went to Syrtis, when horus opened half of my clan mates were in alsius and half in syrtis, i tried out alsius but my heart was calling for syrtis so i went back there, and i founded the Italian clan. Actually i have an alsius char, but i am using it only to chat with friends :D

BTW I often hear in a chat offers of trading trans-realm accounts. So there is at least a chance to change realm and start not from zero taking someone's chars/items/magna...

Chose Syrtis originally since it was where I'd always been, but got bored and fancied being the underdog at that time and changed to Alsius ^_^ and I'm not going anywhere else now. Except possibly offline.

I started the game on recommendation from a friend I met in another game. He said he played in Syrtis, and I said I'd download the game, and try it when I had time. So eventually, I did, and even though I had his character names, I never saw that guy again. But that's why I'm in Syrtis. Honestly, if I'd researched what the realms are like a bit, I probably would've picked Alsius.

But, I'm staying in Syrtis for a few main reasons - I've made some good friends here, I'm too lazy to grind another char to 50 before getting some more real war (bit of a crap reason I guess, if I'm still grinding 4 chars...), and I've got some items and stuff that I want to hang onto. So I've always stayed in Syrtis.

However, I have been considering making a support conj in Alsius, to help players grind up and even the odds in wars, but I doubt it would be a permanent move if I did, because I'm kind of attached to Syrtis. :sifflote: Even if some of the players there are absolute arseholes, although I suppose you'd get that in every realm.

When i left Syrtis it was supose to be Temporarily too help out with Realm Balance :P

3-4 days later i couldnt fight on SoL because all Syrtis did was Farm & Alsius was much more Peaceful ^^

Klutu used to be Slayer of Light... he was the first good player (since I started playing) to leave Syrtis for another realm, so he wasn't all that popular back in Syrtis to start off with.... :sifflote:

And then Lunar went not long after and became Caelia... after that, I can't really remember that many people who moved....(but that doesn't mean I don't remember any!)

I'm syrtis and I'll always be syrtisian.

Well I started in syrtis when an IRC geek friend (Kaisin, but he changed many times because of bans, all know what happened :p) shown me this game and I started to love it (but it was a way far more fun at begining because of warriors aeras, no pussys spells like cremation, no assholes players, etc ...).
There is good and bad points in syrtis like all realms I think, but syrtis seems cool for me, you always meet some friend who are up for any kind of fun.
In old time, I was in peace with alsius but this realm changed a lot, many are multirealmers from ignis and turned goat fun off for a while. I still miss the time when we did boss warzone mobs in others realms.
I do not stay in syrtis for the amount of people we have in certains hour ranges like some think bad about me but for the realm where I fought and did great battles. I tried all hours ranges with this realm and I defended it many times vs the ignis invaders (the people who only think about invasions, you know them, they made a new clan recently) so now the point is I am a syrtian and I wont leave it.

I tried all 3 realms in RA, and still have 2 low lvls chars in syrtis.
Alsius attracted me for the good list of quests in wiki (by that time alsius was the only realm to have list of quests) later i found some Brazilians in game(kind of rare till today) but alsius community is good, chat makes me laugh many times, specially when not complaining about syrtis overpopulation.

Even being pawned so many times alsius is my home and i am blue to the bone.

Yeah my comp doesn't want to play the game anymore anymore and my video card isn't good enough to run anything else.

yeah i started iggy, cuz i saw the pick on the startup manager and thought it looked sweet, then @ lvl 11 I started actually looking at rlm chat and the first thing i saw was
ALL TO REALM GATE NO MATTER THE LVL!!!!!!!!
i was like wtf and it turned out syrtis was invading so then i decided that i would go check it out.
Then some Alsius hunter came along and started picking off our barbs who were area spamming and I was like wow those 2 rlms rly hate us so I better stay here and try and kick their ass...it never happened.
So here I am with 2 lvl 41 chars in iggyland, but i can't play probly never will again. D: oh well, the game was buggy anyways D:

I was first in Alsius but that was till lvl 10 I became a barb but I wanted to be a knight xD but I deleted my chars and without knowing I was in Syrtis xD my first char was a barb lvl 30 but I deleted it -.- I had a lvl 29 knight deleted it I had a lvl 29 conj deleted it -.- I had a Hunter still got it after 2 other Hunters before -.-

i am and always will be a ignean. however, i have tried alsius on ra and i have to say.... "HOLY SHIT! it is easy as HELL to level up in alsius." there is next to no grinding until level 30. in ignis you are forced to grind at lvl 8. a friend of mine made a scrip to calculate how much xp all the quests combined give you in ignis compared to alsius (based on regnum.wikia.com). alsius had just about 2 TIMES the xp that ignis did.

alsius got just about 800K xp from the quests

ignis got about 400K

(syrtis wasnt included)

the reason for this is because there are a few more quests for alsius and those alsius quests give more xp than the ignis quests for that level.

for example: a level 27 quest for alsius gives 7700xp (there are 6 lvl 23 quests)

a level 27 ignis quest gives 2700 xp (there are 3 level 27 quests)


while comparing other things between realms, i found that ignis got the "short end of the stick" on just about everything.

it does not surprise me that many people dont stick with ignis.

yes it is exremely easy to hit lvl29.5 and following the quests after using a marstery scroll (as boring as that is) can easily take you to lvl35-37 (not excactly sure about this) in one day if you buy a horse and know the locations etc. The realm bonus helps alot too.

However many players are overwhelmed at lvl30 as they've never really grinded before and had no idea how bad it can get. this leads to them quitting. I find that players who transfer from other realms can handle the transition from questing to grinding quite well meaning it must suck on the other sides.

nope, after lvl 7 you have to grind almost every level. there are a few that you dont have to (lvl 18 requires VERY little grinding) but it does NOT get easier after 29. not by a longshot.

after lvl 40, alsius gets 3 quests that give 15000-16000 xp. ignis gets nothing.

i play syrtis since tyr, because a friend of mine played it, on tyr we where zerged by alsius and even had a bonus so it was great to have so mutch action on such low lvl xD.

on horus it's completly different, i try not to be online when the zerg is home since there is 0 fun in killing the same goats or ignis 20 times a day, i rather have a small balanced group than the zerg, that's why i mostly leave a fort, because there are just to many ppl.

i tryed RA (ignis) and yeah, i like it there, nice ppl, nice wars, great clan! (immortal legends ftw), so yeah it's great.
made a alsius acc to but don't use it to often, mostly to challenge DTK for pvp xD, that's always fun(nyxD)

Tyr was pwnaged you even knew in what village everyone lived... And we made jokes bout eachother: time-to-die: Komkommer-farmer (cucumber-farmer). Also in Tyr you gave away what you had even if you didn't know that person very well.

In one word the wars in Tyr were not big but they were fun they were ok the chat was dead but that doesn't matter because we could enjoy with 3 people.

We always made jokes gave things away and than the storm came: Horus. We had to go to Horus with many people most of them stopped because zerging isn't that big fun k you're rp is dancing but for the rest it sucks.

You must buy things in Horus there is an ''economy'' in Tyr there was no ''economy'' it was give what you can give away and take what you may take.

There were good connections sometimes days were boring as hell other days we went all to the arena and it was big fun :P We even tried doing Vesper with 20 people or something and bugged (BIG FAIL). NGD had to make the bosses easier I mean what do you expect of lazy Dutch people!

And you think Horus wasn't like that in the beginning? We had arena events, Vesper events and Evendim events; we actually needed the whole realm to fight and we knew Vesper/Evendim was still there until the war was over because we needed everyone.

But the population started to grow, competition for items increased and so they began to get a price tag attached to them. Now everything is more expensive, items are even more rare (unnoficial nerf to drop rate) and greed has taken over Horus.... but it wasn't always like that.

I had no problem with Syrt, but farming Alsius at the gate when you take Trell ..isn't their a gem you could be putting your efforts towards.
