In on-line communities, forums and games, trolls are an always present problem. There's not always a moderator on-line to act immediately when a troll appears. To reduce their harm, I suggest users to follow the following guidelines.

- Ignore them. Mostly the reason behind trolling is getting attention, so by not giving them attention, you make trolling useless for them. So use in-game /ignore <character name> or just don't read what the person has to say.

Although some trolls can get really annoying or hurting, don't give in and yell back. This is exactly what they want. No, don't even tell them how immature they are or how much more mature you are. This is too a response and by responding, you make the troll archive his goal.

Stay calm, you freaking out would make the troll's day.

- On the forum, use the report post function. Moderators can't always be on-line or read everything on the forum. Your help is needed to turn the attention on trolls.

In-game you can, in the case of Horus, PM me (http://www.regnumonline.nl/forum/private.php?do=newpm&u=104896) at the forum when I am not on-line and I might read the PM in time and can get on-line to stop the troll.

- When someone is trolling in-game, take screenshots of the chatlog and send a ticket to http://www.regnumonlinegame.com/support
