Who else here hopes that they don't change the game's requirements in terms of RAM etc.? If they did that, a lot of people with lower end systems wouldn't play it. Personally, that's why I don't play any other MMMORPGs and it's one of the things that caught my eye when I looked at Regnum on wikipedia.

I had been playing with a 9600 and 256 ram. Processor was a newer AMD but it played fine with the exception that my gfx card did not support Direct X 9.

As far as I know we have no plans to change the minimum requirements. But a lot of the cool gfx, terrain, etc require Direct X 9. But of course as new versions of Direct X come out, new opportunities will be available to enhance the graphics and I'm sure we will be looking to take advantage of the features.

As long as people with only 256 ram and common video cards can play I'm happy!http://www.regnumonline.com.ar/forum/images/smilies/biggrin.gif

I prefer the graphics to be boosted for those who want it. Please add some realistic shadows instead of round blobs:dumbofme: :dumbofme: :dumbofme: :dumbofme:

Why not boost only certain servers and leave the other ones?

I guess that's client side, as well.

However, you still can adjust the detail level. Beyond that there may be a point where it makes no sense to play (e. g. when many other ppl are running around, as in battle) with a given system.
I would prefer if the recommendation would give a hint at which point system resources greatly limit game performance. Therefore you know it's not your connection or the game server but your hardware.
