Im tired of this..

Yes, as the headline says im tired of something, im tired of almost killing something and then have some n00b doing 1 attack and killing the enemy i almost killed and get all the RP.

For Example yesterday me and conjurer friend where chasing a Barbarian over orcs praire, he stopped behind a tree and came at us when we didn't expect it, basicly we got his hp down to less then a 1/10 before we both got killed.
About 10 sec later my other friend tells me that he killed the same barbarian by using a fireball. He got 57 RP for it.

Now tell me, shouldn't you be getting RP even if you die??
After all it was me and my friend who did all the work and we didn't get anything except a free trip to pinos save.

And i've had other friends that have experienced the same, they get 0 RP even if the guys that they almost killed is killed the second after.

I mean you still get XP from creatures even if they are slain after you died, why shouldn't it be the same with RP?

the thing is well balance this how it is if u hit a player and they close to die they escape u wont get the realm points same with a mob. and u dont get 57 realm points from a player nefer is 54 max from a lvl 50. maybe u wrote it wrong or he lie i dont know

This problem has been solved in many roleplaying games since 1981, so why don't adapt good solutions? For example, in Anarchy Online the reward for killing is distributed like this: your Team (a team can consist of only one player) has to do more than 50% dmg on a mob to get any reward, if it does less it gets the message "Your team did not enough damage to recieve any reward". If your team outdamages another team all teammembers get the same XP and the right to loot the corpse. After 30 minutes the loot is free for other teams.

I'm just a lowly newbie and I don't do much damage on my own, but I can still get 6 points here or 8 points there as it is, but if I'd have to damage 50% or more to get any realmpoints at all then it wouldn't really be war anymore would it? It would just be scaled up 1on1s, and only the highest levels would really have a chance

Also, I've gotten realmpoints after I've died and hit resurrect

I can get someones HP down to 90hp, and then I die.
The someone kills him and gets all the RP!

That's not fair.
Now you will say, RP is'nt everything, and that's true.
But still u get pissed of at such things where you did a hard job but didn't earn anything for it.

thats true.
i die so often before i can make the final hit on the enemy. And that makes me mad regularly.
I also noticed that i get some rp after dead, but im not sure on which occastions.

and Froste is right with the 50% rule. That would suck. The rp distribution is ok how it is right now. Except that you get none after you die.

mabye it would be ok when you get your rp while you still lie on the ground but none after you resurrect

lol sometimes if u use a constent spell that makes like my summon lighting and i die i still get rp after i revive

I agree with Yc, no kill no rp. But what i would like to see is, that you get rp for claiming forts and castles.
