View Full Version : Spell elude, yes or no?
Do you think it works?
My feelings are illustrated by the image below.

HDV --> 1500 resistance
Spell elude --> 55 resistance
If you use HDV you already know the answer.

Well i think it works, it might boost your resist chance by 0.7% or sth.. However i voted no as i dont recommend using it at the current state..

The spell is designed to increase your chance to resist a spell. It does this, therefore it works. However, it doesn't increase your resistance enough to justify putting points into it or spend the mana on it, imo.

It does work but not enough to justify its use. It roughly doubles your base resist, but no one is going to notice except the person casting terror or whatever. In small fights where you might get one or two resists, nothing out of the norm will show in your log.
The fact of the matter is that the value is simply too low, plus general spell resistance currently seems to be broken.
Acrobatics should be changed to resist physical damage only, and Spell elude changed to resist magical damage. With Evasive tactics having not been nerfed along with the other protection spells, and Acrobatics still being "too good to be true", archers still have too much tanking ability.
Any archer who actually thinks they need spell resistance clearly has not played another class and seen the kind of damage they take.
Kind regards.
