Rules of Engagement for PvP-Gatherings in Regnum.

Version 1.0.1 by Shauldan of Syrtis

Translators to spanish and portugiese needed.

Preparation

* This PvP-Gathering is for all Alsius, Ignis and Syrtis Players.

* Level doesn't matter.

* Choose a good site with enough place for everyone.

- not under trees.

- without aggressiv monsters.

- source of pets for hunters, who lost them on the way.

- not so much traffic.

- away from guards.

* Be aware, not everyone knows about this gathering at all. Be carefull on your way to enemy territory.

* Tell the other players about the event, direct them to the regnum forum.

* Bring a conjurer with you. Better two, so both can participate in the fight, too.

* Bring a friend of yours with you.

Spectators

* Standing around unarmed means that you are an observer.

* Observers must not be attacked. (Friends know what they can do to each other.)

* Everybody except the fighters and the conjurers who heal them should be sitting and without weapons or stay with some distance from the pvp area. (You need to move to shoot good pictures.)

* Spectators should not attack or buff others.

Combat

* Be polite.

* Challenge only worthy partners.

* Double fights are allowed, that means that 2 people can challange and fight against 2 other people; or two average can challenge a high lvl character.

* Signal your challenge and wait for an appropiate response.

* A pvp challenge can be refused

* A challenge is when one opponent aproaches another and points at him, then they go in the middle of the pvp area and stay away a few steps from each other.

* The pvp starts when both opponents pull their weapons, anyone buffing or attacking before the other is ready is penealtized with dishonor.

* If you want to join pvp, enter unarmed and stay unarmed until you are challenged and start to fight.

* Do not kill your sparing partners. If possible avoid lethal situation. Our friends would have a long way back if they don't bring a conjurer with them.

* Sitting down, disarming or doing a invincible spell like low profile or sanctuary means that you have given up the fight.

* Conjurers who are armed cannot use invocations, just heal or revive. Conjurers can't be attacked since they're like the International Red Cross. Only Exception, if they are fighting.

Any suggestions?

*That doing a invincible spell like low profile or sanctuary means that you have given up the fight.

* Double fights is allowed, that means that 2 people can challange and fight against 2 other people.

* Unequiping your weapon = throwing in the towel.

* If one fighter kills someone that has surrendered the other people are free to kill him without his friends from the same realm helping out.

That would end in a chaos.

Thank you dani-o for translating the guide.

If you get some feedback in the spanish part of the regnum forum. Please, collect the points and give me a short translation. my spanish is not good enough to understand long texts.

Shauldan

PS: you spelled my name wrong in the translation.

* Sitting down, disarming or doing a invincible spell like low profile or sanctuary means that you have given up the fight.

hmm

Sometimes i rest during fights, and this doesn't mean i give up.
One of conjurers tactics is to cast immunity and let the pet do it's job.
I sometimes disarm myself by accidentally clicking the wrong button on the bar.

I always fight to death but if i wanted to give up, i would wave at the opponent or clap my hands... Just a suggestion

EDIT:
Nevermind... they're gonna reset us all tomorrow :)
