My specific question is: what benefits will a warrior receive from items giving hit chance and concentration bonuses? are they even worthwhile stats to boost in the grand context of war?
Also, the descriptions in game for stats in general aren't all that clear. If someone knows the whereabouts to more in depth descriptions are I'd be happy to read up on anything that is already out there.

Bonuses on concentration or hit chance are worthless ;)
Both boost one's hit chance a little bit. From 400 to 420 e.g. (5% more hit chance) ==> not very useful ;)

I've heard from several people that certain items with hit chance bonuses will affect your critical hits positively. No idea if there's any truth to it, but could be worth testing...

i reached 50% critical chance using gear/buffs solo
did i notice anything..err not really..
if i had a hammer i'd have tested with execution as well (as i used slash weap)
maybe slightly, i hit more, and critical more, but, for the cost, and the gear..it would just have been better to go without another build or free that slot for a useful bonus

Hit chance on items is nice, it has an effect on your critical hit chance. Hit chance from skills and conc boni dont change a lot, they are not worth the points imo.

Pre 1.6.4:
Even when my marks was leveling with conj buffs and ~700 hit chance I was still missing mobs now and then. I pretty much agree with everyone else only passives you should aim for a dmg reductions and dmg increases.
After:
Not sure now I've heard peeps say it can be worth it ;p
It affects you positively. Hit chance stat on equipment is much more productive than concentration. I look at it from the ability to deal critical strikes
Actually, you only see the benefit while skilling for critical strikes as a barbarian and Knight. Because the probability to land a successful hit is determined by your opponents stat as well as any HC debuff on you, results will vary a lot depending on opponents' defense. However, if you do land a normal hit, with your improved hit chance and concentration it is much more likely to hit a critical the higher those stats go.
I have equipment on my barb that pushes the critical rate to 47% if I use execution and martial reflexes in combo. With this rate I normally can do 3 critical strikes in a row and quite often hit 3 of 6 critical on a target. Of course you need to be using blunt to achieve this.

Does Conc still adds Spell Focus?

Does Conc still adds Spell Focus?
Would be nice to see our character's spell focus in the character window with a set integer like hit chance or armor rating so we could at least have a relative baseline for adjusting builds and gear.

Every 2 points in your main-att rises your hc by 1 point. (Only noted with my lock, but assuming its right :P)
Strenght and conc seems at the minimum possible in your config. But i thought +48hc are quite high, more valuable than conc, which rises your crit-hc also only by 0,1% per point, but harder to obtain.(+48 hc = +4,8% crit hc = +48 conc o.O)
Didn't want to see, how low it would go without your +48hc in your equip. With my deepest sympathy.:imstupid:
btt: in the past, assuming the wiki-entries are right, main-att and conc also influenced your spellfocus. But we didn't know, if there are other factors involved (e.g hc or int.)
Didn't know, why it's kept a secret by ngd. Mage classes had to assume their spellfocus (aka hc of your spells) is functioning as imagined whereas other classes could symply look up their hc in their stats.

Because they don't know the formula.

I think so too. :P The server code is probably an incomprehensible mess.
