Fulminating max hits

Trying my barb for the first time since the update, I've made a spectacular critical hit:

The target in question was a level 50 Knight who I engaged when he had full HP and mana, and he died within seconds to my attacks. Has anyone done similar damage without SC? If so, post pictures. :p

This reminds me of a similar discussion I had on IRC regarding this picture:

In all seriousness, Defensive stance(5) stacks well with Bendable(4) and Army of one(1). It may ruin your setup to have both maxed, but you can get quite good results vs. slashing barbs, which tend to be your greatest enemy these days.

(My main has been a Knight for almost a year now.)

Ouch!

I had a similar crit on Amun in the last phase of the previous patch. It was just under 3k against a Marks with Acrobatic(5). IIRC, the hit was modified by last hit TfB(5), Fulm(5), Collosus(5), Blunt Mag(5), Berserk(5), and a bunch of Str gear. It was a totally impractical novelty build though.

Exactly. NGD wanted fights to last longer so they gave barbs ability to kill any class in 2-3 hits. Pfft.

Yes it's Satarco's sword with a 4% AS gem added to it. Could be better. :p

But i find fulm is a waste of time tbh so i don't use it :P

IIRC they were at Fulm(5) = +70% dmg. (it got changed 2ce, 100 -> 70 -> 50)

I think Canada just lowered 50 ft below sea level due to the weight or your e-peen.

I dont know how its not possible, that video was made when NGD was testing armor types, damage reduction and so on. Along with (as Enio said) Fulminating being longer and was a 70%dmg boost, iirc. That and he also used colossus, at the early stages they gave strength more meaning by uping the damage it deals.

So really the critical the hard mob does to him, could be due to low armor rating (slashing, blunt, ect.) on his part, plus the fiddling they were still doing to to damage/damage resists in general.

there was no one else around. back when onslaught stacked, i did 3922, that was with 5 onslaughts, off with their heads, all my own buffs, and conju buffs. so this is obviously some sort of awesome bug or something.

The best sc that has ever been made on a german server was something between 6 and 7k with the old sc and ds. The dmg on amun must have been made when NGD was changing the armor and damage of all classes.

It seems like NGD's original plan was to somehow make all the numbers in the game bigger (e.g 100s -> 1000s). I imagine that if they did have such a plan it was abandoned due to the work required in fixing all the spells.

Instead they opted to reduce APs to compensate. With the old APs we would be reducing like 500+ damage per hit. :p
