Weapon Trails and Weapon Beams ?

I noticed that i have 2 settings, "Weapon Trails" and "Weapon Beams", under shader 3/4.

I am aware of the first one but not the second, so what does it actually do ?

I'm playing under shader 2, so I don't have those settings but I guess, one is for meelee weapons and the other for arrows.

just a thought, not claiming to know anything ;)

My guess is beam archer related, while trails are warrior related.
Before this update, I had trails disabled, so I couldn't see warrior trails, but could see archer trails.

Yeah, makes sense and noticed it as well disabling one of these two each time. Thx.
