some info about the hunter class

hey guys, previously iv always been a knight (only got to level 25) and iv quite liked it, but im curious to know what hunters are like, iv heard something about them being to become invisable, is this true?

Yes that is true. There are 2 skills that will do that. One will let you move with a -50% movement penalty for up to 30 seconds. The other will let you hide your self and up to 5 allies for 300 seconds but if you move you become visible again.

Hunters are fun but without pet a hunter is a weak class. Very few damage skills but can run very fast to escape death.....

and what do you have to do to get a pet?
a friend of mine is lvl 11 hunter in alsius and can't get no pet.

yes in alsius there are no pets for that level. I 99% sure at level 13 you can get a pet. I does suck but you are lvl 11 and 12 for a very short time so it is not that bad.

What about the creatures at lost valhalla, shouldn't they count as small animals?

Beast = MOBs with 4 legs
Monsters = MOBs with 2 legs

In Syrtis you get the Beasts-Skill at lvl 13 too, but the first thing, after the lvl 11 Green Beetle and the lvl 12 Green Wasp, is an Adult Wolf which you can get at lvl 16.

What's about the creatures that are summoned? I tried to tame Golems at lvl 26, but it didn't work. Are those creatures which can be summoned by conjurers only belonging to them?

Right. Only conjurers can summon golems. Hunters cannot tame golems.

Alsius had spiders at one time during the beta and I was unable to tame them. Now no spiders exist here so I can not confirm you can not tame them still.

Ghosts we can capture, Specters should be the same but im not really sure, but we can't capture lich necromancers i think because all i've ever seen wild in lich way is High lich lords and they are said to be over lvl 50.

You can capture the lich necromancers in syrtis from the cemetery.

people talk about how you can make hunters invisible so what field do you need to upgrade to be able to get these skills.

They are in the Scouting. I think the 8th and 10th spells.

For all who are intresested in, I started a list of pets and when you can tame it here (http://regnum-online.de/forum/ftopic58.html). Currently it's only about creatures which we have in Syrtis.

in Syrtis we have fire spiders but you can't tame them and you can't tame snakes either

So, I chose to originate from Alsius and I'm planning on going the hunter route (cause I like the whole pet thing). It sounds like I may have picked the wrong place....please don't say it is so. Can I go to other places to tame creatures without getting jumped (sorry, I'm not too familiar with the PvP portion yet)??

What? There are things to tame in Alsius just not until lvl 13 after that there is plenty to tame. You can go to the war zone but there is nothing to tame there until lvl 34 and up.

I also wanted to ask somone who plays a hunter what strategy they use when fighting in pvp and pve becaus im not sure what to put my skill points on

i use camouflage or low profile because the enemy cannot attack you when you have these powers active meaning they will have to attack your pet or get killed by it;) .camouflage can work better cause they can't see you sneak behind them and shooting them in the back also use diffrent skills for dirrfent classes for knights or barbarians use stunning fist or ambush. for conju's or warlocks use tear apart, ensnaring arrow or dual shot and of course ambush cause i think both can freeze you:rolleyes2: also get the best pet you can find

I have to use Cyclops Warrior Apprentice since lvl42 and i guess the next is Great Sabretooth (lvl46)
Do anyone know another?
