Does Regnum offer any add ons for things such as questing or inventory management?

On another note, can someone instruct me on how to socket a gem on an item? Still new to this and learning

Every weapon can have 1 empty socket embeded into it except for mag weapons and they come with 2 sockets.
You can do as guy said above if weapon already has a socket then any enchanter, weaponsmith or blacksmith can embed a gem you have for game gold.
If you have any weapon an epic weapon for example with no socket or gem added by another player then you can buy a premium item called engrave socket and this will allow you to engrave a empty socket capable of holding any gem you can get on that weapon.
You can also buy premium item called remove gem which will let you take your gem back out after you are done with weapon. If it is worth saving that is. Empty socket will remain on weapon for a new gem.

O M E G A

P.S. Only weapons armor is as it is you can not change any stats on armor.

You can trade / give items to other players. There is trade dialog in the menus. Just look around you will find it.

Regnum in common is not so item based game, so having uber gear do not make you winner. Maybe good gear is 30% other are skill, luck etc.

For Horus where i play best developed economy is in Syrtis. As i talked with players from other realms there trades are not so developed. Usual trade currency is magnanite or other items. In clans items are usually gived between members.

Items are gived between people too which help you develop connections and friendships. When server started when we grinded in parties we gived items between party members that we can not use. It was fun.

EDIT: guys if you give karma at least sign it :)

Yes it is based in (uber)gear for about 70%. Look at the continuos trading in Realm chat, it does not pass 1 minute without someone selling or buying stuff. Look what happen when the (super)bosses are on: Lots and lots of players who follow the timetables of the bosses gather together; they left friends, forts, invasions, whatever, just for the bosses. And why? To get that "precious" ubergear Ieti, wake up.

Uber gear do not make you play good and have fun. You are still a pt even if you got all the gear in ro. And you are bored and alone...and after a while you leave.

Just play and have fun. :horsey:

@rould look at regnum.wikia.com (http://regnum.wikia.com/wiki/Regnum_Online_Wiki) there you can find alot of info about spells, quests and many more.

That's right you have to learn to play, with or without ubergear. I know many skilled players who does have ubergear and they are fearfull adversaries but there are indeed others who even with ubergear lack the skills to win.
Anyway that was not the issue. The issue was that you said that gear didnt matter and I explained before why it certainly does imo.

I have to agree with Groark on this. In my experiences with WoW, i saw toons with super epic sets of gear...and they couldn't fight for shit. Are we allowed to say shit here?

You played wow? I started on regnum then, two years ago, left and played wow. Just returned to regnum at Christmas. Soon as you asked about addons I thought hm, that's familar. Much of what you post sounds familar to me. :) Welcome to the game!

S'far as I've heard, nothing like questhelper, carbonite, nor any other addon works here or is in the plan. As for quests, there's a wiki page dedicated to regnum and so far it's been an accurate resource. Gems you had explained. Mounts are by purchase only. Clans (I still think of them as guilds) are in each realm and worth checking into. You'll notice lots of similarities between wow and regnum as I believe ngd fashioned a great deal of the game on the original blizzard designs.

Which realm did you join?

Both of you are right.

Ieti because he was stating the mage point of view where you only need spec gear with cast speed to own people on the battlefield.

Grorak, because he was stating the hunters point of view where you cant out damage a mage with your normal hits without uber epic gear in hand.
