Hi,
Continuing with the idea from Ask NGD (http://www.regnumonline.com.ar/forum/showthread.php?t=71320), in this thread you may ask questions to NGD that will be selected by us. Once selected they will be voted by all of you and the winning question will be replied by NGD.
Questions will be accepted until Thursday. On Friday, they will be polled for you to vote them until Monday morning. The winning questions will be replied on Monday afternoon.
You can ask again the questions proposed in the previous thread except the winner one.
Please bear in mind that the only posts taken into consideration will be the ones with a question related to Regnum. Any other post will be deleted.

10 in a row is not enough IMO, I hate to use mouse to scroll between rows, besides there is plenty of unused room below the chat...

2) will be ever explained how spell focus/spell resistance work?
3) will be ever explained how evasion/hit chance work?
4) are you going to fix neverending knocks?
5) are you going to give a decent defence to locks against cc's?
6) are you going to change useless boss drops? (dragon gloves for mages, daen rha staff and so on)

It's frustrating to be surrounded by a ton of enemies, so very close to you, when you trigger howl and somehow none of them get hit by it....or roar, or expansive, or (insert area 6 spell here).
And also the whole not being able to do normals on knocked/immob'd enemies thing is really frustrating.
So yes, to reinforce DB's question:
Will positioning and such things as phantom swings be corrected anytime soon?
Also:
Will you ever fix Kick so it works more than 1 out of 50 attempts? (since 99% of the time it gets resisted)

Any plans to address population imbalance?

A) Will you ever fix the "boring grinding" ?
B) What are your plans for premium items in the coming year?
C) Will magnanite weapons ever be updated? (They are to weak for the amount of magna's they cost except for the LB and the 2H hammer is pretty decent although they also need a boost).
Also +1 to DB's post (Never thought i would say that)

^ this. I kind of missed this clarification in this week's answer, or does this count to doesn't "need to be completely revamped from a usability point of view"? I agree that most of the UI just needs graphical improvements, more spell bars are the only exception for me there.

Couldn't crafting simply be a gather-all-materials and follow-the-recipe, the-more-you-craft-the-more-you-have-exp-the-more-objects-are-better? to not break economy simply make crafted obj cheaper to sell to merchant. Easy for you, better for me.. (this will probably be ignored)
Have you ever heard of advertising? if you want to gain more, perhaps a little space in the UI could be reserved to text adv, and perhaps this could lead to a lowering of price of everything? (this too will be ignored)
Anyway, since I think noone buy potions, have you ever think about introducing them as merchants' and alchemists' obj?
Will you ever introduce a third class?
Have you ever thing about fights riding horses?
Will you ever introduce sms payment for Italy?

Are there any plans to make super bosses drops completely random so that every class can have a fair chance to get them? As it is now some classes are totally excluded or have almost no chance to get the drops.

Atm I can't stand the sound of my own footsteps or the birds singing I wish there was an option to disable them so I am playing without sound.

Additionally, is the issue of "skipped normal attack(s)" gonna be fixed, when you maddly press a spell and you don't have enough mana?

is it like when you cast a spell and the other guy goes hiding behind a rock so you loose mana but don't cast the spell? if so: ye needs to be fixed
if not: ye needs to be fixed
Q: Is there a plan to return back spell cancelling?
It was alot more fun when we got this. It was part of the tactics to cancel opponent's spells.

Will NGD in the near future change the dropping system of the superbosses? Now some classes like knights are getting the drops most of the time while others like hunters do not have any chance at all to get them. I dont think this is NGD's intention.

I know a knight that has "ban" for boss drops XD He attends to bosses from a long time and has no drop. I attend to them from much sorter time and I have 3 drops as a conjurer. All ppl from my clan who participated in boss killings had at least one drop, except him XD
OT: Any chances on changing some "useless" spells? (there's quite a bunch of spells that noone uses)

That knight sure doesnt know how to use spells at boss killings or someone put a spell on him LOL. And I'm sure no1 of your clan goes to boss killings with a hunter. Aprox 80% of the ppl at boss killings are warriors, the rest are mostly conjurers. Why? because the chances to get drops are like 90% higher.

Is NGD planning to expand the spell bar?

His incapability to drop is probably affected by his internet connection (He often has his screen frozen for the time of battle and it unfreezes after the battle has ended. With the rest i totally agree with you. All of them were barbs and conjus. (It's obvious that i'll go for boss on conju and not on marx)
Question to NGD: Will your website be updated more often? It's outdated in some parts.

This is not really a great question for this thread. You say it like NGD can just pull a switch and phantom swings are gone. Phantom swings and position lag are caused by bugs or errors in code. NGD is of course trying to trace those down, but you can't really say when they will be fixed, since you can't say when the bugs will be found.

NGD is of course trying to trace those down, but you can't really say when they will be fixed, since you can't say when the bugs will be found.
Well, I only said this because a year ago they didn't exist at all. Now they do.
Somewhere in that time-line, RO went from not having them at all, to having a ton of them, as if a "switch" was thrown.
I was just wondering if they'd ever flip the switch back. I'd much rather have the old pre-1.0.8 combat system and network code/positioning back. I know that's asking for the moon, but it's not always a bad thing to at least go back to formula. The current system seems like a series of dead ends.
You can try to polish a turd, but in the end you're still stuck with a turd. Would hope by now they'd start over with an entirely new positioning code from scratch. Again; asking for the moon here.
Also, a few months ago, they did "fix" them for a little while, then somehow they came back with a vengeance, worse than ever.

I voted for "Dungeons or playing area".
I am more for the latter one.
The game should stay as an open undivided world.
I really like this concept.

1.1. To repeat (not spam) unanswered questions is allowed.
1.2. I havenīt repeated the "invasion question".
2. Whatīs the difference if i link my (or in 2 cases other peoples) ideas in the context with these questions? My questions are very clear formulated. If someone wants to know, why i am interested in these things, he/she can
have a look at it. If not, donīt click. I would appreciate if people would link their (or others) ideas or thoughts (wikipedia style, not only in this forum), so that you can find everything more easily (do it like myself;)). A link isnīt annoying (Spam) in my opinion, as long as the linked thread connects to the new post/thread. However it is annoying to get lost in infinite forum space.

Well not on the list but i saw more ppl asking for it.
When will Xim items will be tradeable? For example mounts & xp scrolls. Only on the same account (with stash) would help a lot

I agree with you, I always look at spanish questions, they're more curious and tend not to waist their chances of getting answer on long age questions :D
And also, I don't give about shields but since this question is so much loved, please answer them so every knight will shut up once and for all. I don't see how a shield without bonuses can crash game balance, but I'm simply a barbarian dwarf, things are too big for me outside my home, deep in the caves of the tallest mountain, and I can't argue with taller people..

Idk About you. But my magna axe For knights does great damage considering it's a medium speed

Well lets also add magna axe to the list then. But they just aren't much better than a normal weapon with good stats and they should be considering the cost of them.

Magn axe, 190-210+44 +24 hc +2 empty sockets
Abyssal sword, 172-228 base, not to hard to find a wep with +20 base +10 dmg and you can still add a socket.
Magn weps are pretty weak for their cost, simple ;P

For me that was faster to make magna axe than find such sword....

That's in nemon though, in bigger servers(and with more ppl collecting magn) chances change exponentially

...so they become increasingly larger at a fast rate the more people are playing on the server and after some threshold inevitably exceed 100% chance? O.o

Did I say it would pass 100% chance? Just saying, bigger server, more ppl collecting magns, more ppl drop grinding, less magns to buy, more chance on such a sword to drop...

I voted for the shield thing, since I am working (on and off) on a knight, and I've always wondered why the const shields aren't available anymore.
