I'm downloading Regnum as we speak to give it a try, not sure exactly to be expecting as I come from being a heavy WoW player. Regardless I'm wondering what server I should go on as an english speaking player?

Horus. Ra has some English clans though, but most players speak Spanish.

Thanks, also is there any PVE in this game besides leveling up?

Ra was once a properly international server, e.g. English, Spanish, French, German, Italian, but when Horus, the English server came along, nearly all non-spanish speakers left.

I'd recommend Horus.

you mean the PVE sucks then?

Many people dislike long grinding till level 50. Especially levels 40-50 are difficult, because there are almost none quests for them.
There could be some improvement in near future.

Many players like to come back to "grinding" even after lvl 50 because of loot drops and gold.

It is suggested to be level 30+ to enter the war, but of course the higher level, the better.

The only PvE really after you are lvl 50 is the Superbosses.

Could you elaborate a bit on these "Superbosses"? I like PVP but I also really enjoy the raids in WoW.

Every realm got 1 inner boss - dragon, and one War Zone boss. Both die in about 30sec to 2 minutes max. So they are anything but interesting. People go to them because of drops.

RO is good not because of PvE. It is pretty long and boring to get to max level - 50.

Fun is RvR - Reaml VS Realm action. Usually we fight at forts, bridges, open fights.

For PvP you have to hunt or speak with someone on IRC or something. We have a small arenas which are used for this, but some spells do not work there.

Good in Regnum is RvR - mass fights between realms.

What realm should I choose on Horus?

Don't listen to "dat relm suks!!," just pick the one that looks the best to you.

Alsius is snowy, with "goats," dwarves and humans, Ignis has sand and deserts with moloks (mostly human,) normal humans and dark elves. Syrtis has two types of elves (similar enough) and humans also.

If you're looking to play a warrior, I might recommend Alsius (Dwarves or Uthgars [goats]) an Archer; Syrtis (Half elf or Wood elf) and a Mage; Ignis (Esquelio [human]) - of course all realms do all things well, but the best classes for each class will, in general, be found here. It shouldn't be the the reason you choose, but it's something to think about.

What realm you choose is totally up to you like Matt says.
Here (http://regnumonline.nl/ranking/index.php?l=1&opt=9&realm=0&world=horus) you can check the activity of each realm:

All i can say now is that Syrtis is pretty overpopulated now :P But thats my opinion.
