... players whine, bitch and moan, myself included.
However, do not mistake this as disgust or hatred for you, or the game. After each major patch, emotions run high, and people say and do alot of things they do not mean. Minor issues are turned into major issues, and real major issues are downplayed. But in order for you to survive as a game company, you must come to realize something, that it is not the result of hatred, and there is no reason to get burned out anymore. You guys have put your lives into this game, piece by piece, year after year, person by person. And from a small community of 20 on RA during the first days, it grew to 200, then 2000, then 20,000. People have come, people have left, and some have done so on not so friendly terms. Many of my friends have disappeared over the years, never to be seen again. And it seems like all the community ever does is whine and complain about how much both NGD and the game sucks.
People do this because they love the game, and you. Just like you, we have our own visions, and we don't want to see it suffer. It's not always just a game, it's a passing of time, a place where memories, and bonds are created. Many of these bonds will continue well beyond when the game finally fades away. So when things happen that seem to be bad to us - there is a terrifying backlash. But all of it is simply derived from our wishes to see Regnum Online, the game that has always had so much potential, to soar to new heights. To become the best that it could possibly be. In our short-sighted foolishness, we have all fought with each other,, and with NGD, for years, bickering about this and that, slowly getting along less and less as each month pass, with negative feelings increasing steadily as the game, and the community, aged. But I honestly think it is time for that to stop. There will always be things that we don't like - and there will always be things that you don't like, but somewhere we have to meet in the middle, and come to an understanding.
So even as people whine, bitch and moan... remember, you are still loved.
