Realm Balance and class question

Hows the realm balace in Regnum? I was thinking about going Alsius but I don't want to join a realm which has no chance in wars.

Also which is the best class for someone new to the game? I was thinking about Marksman, how are they?

Welcome :)

First, It is not true that Alsius has no chance at wars.. yes, it may be underpopulated, but they still stand up proudly and give a good fight.
Syrtis has probably the most players, but I don't know exactly the times most of them are on... Overpopulation might also have several disadvantages... (crowded grind spots, less mags available, harder to hit enemy, as it gets instantly killed...)
Igneans play the most often in later hours (20.00+ for me).. because most of the players are westcoast(?)

If you mean dungeons, no. There are none planned in near future.
Marksman is a good class at the moment, due to his high range, decent dammage and armor.

Ballance updates could have strong impact on this class imho. It is also difficult to say how things will be when more people get higher level (There was a "Warmaster" expansion few weeks ago)

Where does high end equipment come from then? I'm gonna go marksman I've always been interested in Archers.

Equipment is obtained by drops (killing creatures sometimes gives items)
marks is a good class... loads of them everywhere atm xD

Is Marksman the most played class? I'm not sure if I want to play on Alsius, I don't like the snow setting at all :ohill:

True, you become an archer first and then you can choose to become either marks or hunter on lvl 10... On the beginning just choose whichever class you like.. You can always start a new one (up to 3 chars, upgradable to 6 for money)

Alsius has snow, syrtis grass and ignis desert :/. If you care about the landscape, Syrtis is probably the most pretiest...

Either marks or barb is the most played class from what I have seen. They are probably the most overpowered atm, but balance updates should change this (next one coming april..?)

You'll rarely face Snow in the warzone, but for grind, youll have alot of it.

Conjrer is a hard job. Evryone yells at you for support, no one understand that you have limited amount of heals. Additionally you are main target in any fight.

But if you really want to support your realm, conjurers are always welcome.

Conjurers are not an easy class to play, I advice to first try a solo/offensive class to get used to the game, and then starting a conju...

only i want to see is a realm balance. everywhere i try to grind i see reds and greens. only i cant see them at inner but i cant grind there on lvl 59. on imp beach i cant grind. there are more reds grinding as alsius have players online. and they have aggers to so i think i go play ignis to maybe i can have a nice play to without get killed after getting 400 xp each time

Today when I was grinding, I got ganked twice by syrtis and twice by alsius... I think this is everywhere...

Well, as great part of alsius seems to live in countries that cant buy xims i think is to be expected that you will have more reds(mostly americans) and syrtis (mostly italians).

No Gallus, in Syrtis there is not a main country, the main groups are from England, Poland, France, Italy, Holland, Russia, Hongary, Bulgary, (I forget others I know)..... You can say that Syrtis population come mostly from European countries but also from the USA, Brazil, Indonesia, Malesia, etc

yeah ngd made it. this game will be ignis vs syrtis. i hope i could tranfer my chars from alsius to syrtis or ignis. or will it better to leave the game for ever. i dont have fun at all anymore.
the only target of alsius is to defend our oc, market and our safe.
alsius cant do more at all in game.

i hope ngd is happy with this and i hope they will do something very soon or there will leave much more people then only me and i know that for sure

Marksman is bound to be good but i chose hunter and my pets are very good to me lvl 10 and i have a ferret that hits 60 dmg
