Heyas everyone. Been looking or a while for a good PvP game and hoping this is it from what I have read it looks promising.
Im actually potentially bringing in several new players. As few as 2 more (my sons) and possibly as many as 5-6 more if the game seems to pan out nicely. Our main goal is a game that is fun, has plenty of PvP/RvR opportunities and fairly balanced gameplay with somewhat of a purpose.
I dont know what servers there are or anything. I also am not decided on side.
If anyone happens to see this in the next hour or so...are the sides fairly even? Is there one side that is more of a underdog then the others? Is one side heavily overbalanced over the other two? Any info appreciated.

Horus is most likely the server you want, if you're a native English speaker. Horus is still a small enough server that the 5 or 6 of you really will make a difference for whichever realm you join. As for realm choice, Alsius is generally considered the underdog, and really needs some fresh blood. As much as they need your help, I wouldn't feel right recommending that you go there without warning you that you'd have to put up with the nonstop pessimism and excuses that only perpetuate their situation.
Syrtis and Ignis are the stronger realms. Syrtis is the most populous and possibly more "newbie" friendly. You shouldn't have much trouble finding grinding buddies or war parties here. Ignis has the most warmasters (currently), and best spread across timezones. They're known for a more "hardcore" playerbase and the most success with invasions.

Hmm thanks for the info.
The game just finished downloading actually. For the last hour or so Ive been refreshing the "War Status" maps for both Horus and Ra.
As you said on Horus it appears Alsius is getting hammered as they have held nearly nothing or one location most the night. (just checked seems they got back to 2)
The other 2 seem to be battling it out. On Ra though....it seems almost the opposite and not sure if that is just a weird anomaly or what. But on Ra Ive been watching for the last 60-90 minutes and Alsius has been in control mostly.
Strange.
Normally I like being the underdog. But not if it so bad that it drives you to drink or something lol.
But in this case perhaps I will. Ill go Horus and Alsius to help out. Just need to find a guild/clan I guess now. =)
Worst case scenario if its really bad and they drive us away we can switch it up.

I'm sure 5 or 6 new members will help Alsius' situation quite a bit. I'd recommend not joining the first clan that tries to recruit you, but play through the first couple dozen levels, or even get to know some of your realm mates in the war zone before you make your choice. I can't say I know much about the clans in Alsius these days, I haven't played there for a long time, but for the sake of your own sanity do not join TAG. xD

Plus if you have a group of 6 ppl try to have one of each class, RO is really focus on war so each class is needed in some way.

Thanks for joining Alsius, you won't experience most of the pessimism until you hit the warzone xD
But if you need any tips, advice, or questions answered /chat Back-Slash or Hraaf Vetr if you need anything :)
