A friend told me it's a setting in game.cfg, but couldnt tell me how. And noob as I am on Linux I could use your help.

Using Ubuntu 10.10 if it's to any help

Thx in advance

Im not sure if that's even allowed.. is it?
I know how to do it but the person who told me how to do it said that I shouldn't tell anyone else? I don't know what he meant by saying this.

go to regnum folder find game.cfg file after change vg_fov = 45.000000 to vg_fov = 100.000000 if you wanna play like him, you can choose less if the camera is too far for your taste.
Responding to if it's unallowed, well if it's then we are all banned :P

There is :
cl_play =
cl_record =

Video recording ingame?

vg_screenshot_quality = 80
You can make better screens if you type 100? The same with:
vg_screenshot_format = jpg
jpg into png / tiff ?

vg_screenshot_format = png
It works fine, I use it for years now.

It's much slower than jpg, but quality is perfect.

Video recording ingame?Sort of, like the demo files in Counter Strike.
Set cl_record to a value, which will be the filename of the recording.
Now when you start the game all events will be recorded to a file, that you can later replay by setting cl_play to the same filename.

Wow that's great! I always wondered how we could use this cl_play/cl_record thing.

I got it now. Thx a lot Znurre!! :clapclap:

Do you know if there is a way to move to a specific time in the recorded file? or keys that would act like fast-forward or rewind?
