Holas Amigos de Regnumos or something.

I was looking for a new mouse for my main pc.
Suddenly i had to think about Razer mouses.. I <3 them.. THey just look soooo sexy. Then i thought about the razer MMO one.

My questions; Does all these buttons work in RO?
And more important for me.. and i havent found any answer anywhere yet. Does this mouse works in linux also?

I presume they'll work - only problem is, is that you can't assign spells to your keyboard / mouse, for some stupid reason. I recently (yesterday) got a Logitech G110 keyboard, and playing RO with the macro functions would be awesome.

As for compatability, check the Razer site. I have a Razer Imperator and it's awesome.

But, will those 1 till 12 buttons reply on the buttons from your spell bar?
I mean. They dont have to get a specific function, as long as they reply on the 1-10 button of the spell bar :)

I dont need any complicated button setup for linux or something. I would be happy if they only would work for the bar.

I hope they do, that would be awesome. I don't have the mouse, so I can't say for sure; but I would have thought that you'd be able to program them as simple as 1-10.

I would hope NGD would see this thread and could give an answer :)

I use the standard naga (blue light, tribal symbol) and the buttons 1 to 10 (=0) work as the normal numbers on the keyboard. I'm no crack in such things so I don't know about programming other configurations, but as said the normal function does it's (great) job.

But i guess you are using windows?
In windows it prolly works without any problems.. but im more affraid about linux. Not really in the mood to totally reinstall the computer =]

Earlier driver versions of this mouse were crappy, you couldn't assign any keys at all to those buttons, it just had its full functionality WoW and some other games, but from what I've heard newer versions allow you to do just anything with it.

It uses the twin eye sensor though, a no go for me :P (Low sensing is very annoying then, but I guess no one uses this mouse that way anyway)

Don't think there are linux drivers, but doesn't the Naga store everything on its internal memory? You could program it on some windows then, and keep the settings while playing on linux. (Not sure about this though)

If you can get X to recognize the buttons, it should work just fine. I have a mouse with two thumb buttons that didn't do anything in RO before, but I tried assigning "9" and "0" to them and they work in game. :)

I can write something up when I get the chance.

I have the Razor Naga and I run Linux and Windows. Pretty much the only thing I can get the buttons to do on my Linux side is cast spells. 1-10 cast the spells on your current bar and that can be really handy.

On my Windows side I have it set up so that I can press one button and all my buffs go off. You can set the macros to set off any number of spells. It is amazing just being able to press one button and everything casts.

There might be a Linux program to download, but I am not sure. Heru uses this mouse and he was trying to explain it to me once, maybe talk to him.

Mouse buttons 4 and 5 are completely different from what the Razer Naga is. You'll need to assign other keys to both for Regnum though, but for normal mice you can do it with 3rd party software.

As soon as you can make the mouse send a signal, you can make your system do anything with it. You can make the mouse send e.g. "%"? Great, just create a makro now that reacts to % and starts to press xyz then. :)
Try programs like autokey, ahklinux, ironahk, etc. (Don't know what's the best one, it has been a while since I've used linux)

Mine were recognized as mouse buttons 8 and 9, but I'm guessing it doesn't make a difference either way.

Without being programmed on windows first? Interesting, I thought those buttons just send nothing without software...

I use a software named "btnx" with a razer mouse (unfortunately not 12 buttons) and Ubuntu 11.04. It was easy to install and configure, and works fine for me.
