Can't you put more than 6 seconds of gameplay without interrupting and sinking it under loads of useless effects and blackouts ?
Really hard to keep on track and see what's happenning, the used spells, timings, etc...

I disagree.
If you want to be creative with effects then go ahead just as long as the essence of the gameplay is left intact.

People are to quick to judge something as "Over edited" these days.

Although your use of effects was a bit stale in honesty.

I don't understand why you're talking about this, this has absolutely no link or matter with the proposed video.
What I was criticizing is the abuse of video effects, that ruins most of the essence of the video.

Montage or not montage, this is overkill. Seeing quite long gameplay extracts from a video game that flashes, spins etc. on every music beat is just irritating, nothing more.
In this case better just add a real music visualization instead of RO's gameplay it would have the same point and be less irritating.

And better be harsh than hypocrite, that's what makes a good criticism.

Well, the video doesn't really show gameplay, that's right. But I also didn't edit it to show, I just put many effects in because I've been keen on doing a montage.
There are some gameplay videos on my channel without any effects. I don't ignore your criticism but anyway i won't realise it on this montage.

Since when is save camping not part of gameplay? I agree it sounds pathetic but save camping is not always a bad thing, it brings action and the fight gets harder and harder because the enemies keep spawning faster and faster(At least that's how I see it).

I liked the part from 2:28. The rest was really heavy in effects. To me a montage should be artistic but not overdone to the point that the essence is lost.
In RO montages the essence is the gameplay. Overlays and artistic exclamation points should not overpower the video it should complement and enhance it. I am trying to not be harsh but a lot of these effects just seem stuck in there with no artistic flavour or enhance your video. Sorry.
I know it is a first effort but, I figure it would be best to get the harsh bits out of the way so you can improve. Patting you on the back and saying 'good job' is not doing you any favours.
