hey, i'm download RO right now and i'm really excited to try it out.. just a couple questions to save me the hassle once i start:
...whats the max level, and on avg how long does it take to reach it? i'm tired of MMOs with 8 months of grind before the fun starts
...has anyone maxed out their character yet or it too difficult (or RO is just too new)? if no, whats considered high lvled?

thanks! cu all ingame (70% of download to go :D )

Max level is 50, it does take a while to get to level 50 though, but you don't have to wait til you are that level to go into the warzone =)

There are currently 16 level 50s within the game.

Erm... Ima just a noob who haven't installed the game yet, but just wondering... i thought there were no level restrictions? in Regnum home it quotes "Regnum Online is a MMORPG inviting you to PLAY FOR FREE with no level or time restrictions." ... correct me if i'm wrong.

I think they mean you can play for free and get everything the game has to offer. Meaning you don't have to pay to get past, say lvl 30 or something like that.

FYI, I play maybe 2 or 3 hrs a day off-and-on and I made 39 in about 1 month.

It means that you dont have to be a certain level to enjoy the fun with the game. And no time restrictions means that you dont have to play 5 hours a day, you can play whenever you want and how long you want.

Hope this helps

Yes there is a lvl restrictions up to lvl 50. Until this game gets more popular and bigger tha lvl restrictions will get higher. Just like Wow.

That means you can play for free and you will have the same restrictions as a premium user.

well he means the lvl. some mmorpgs dont let you play after x lvl. you play for freen until lvl 75 and then you must pay 7€ every month you continue playing. regnum is free.

lol, i DLed and played this game 2 months ago when i made this thread and its still active :P

i didnt stick around, it drove me crazy how slowly the characters attacked. it still look like a fun game and i'm considering re-installing it

but before i waste my time, i need someone to convince me that it is worth my while -_- plz?? i'll feel much better. really, i will.

and does the attack speed get faster as you level up? it really is wayyyy too slow. i imagine you get used to it...actually i dont know that i will.

Your attack speed depends on your weapon. Slow weapons usually deal much more damage than faster ones. Certain classes have spells that speed up your attack speed whether actively or passively.

At first, it might seem quite boring and the levelling quite tedious. But once you get into the warzone and get into some skirmishes you'll definitely get addicted to it and all the grinding for lvls will be worth it! To make lvling less tedious, always look out for a group of similarly levelled people to lvl with. In the beginner's island there won't be much of that, especially if you don't speak Spanish. But after lvl10 onwards it'll get easier ;)

Good luck, and I hope you like the game as much as we do!

ok, so before i restart i have to know which class and weapon type has the very fastest attack speed?

i must know for my sanity, ty :) seems like a fun game but nothing bothers me more than just standing there like a moron inbetween half-hearted strikes.

i like this banana thing though, i had to retype this post because the first time i typed it i was staring at the banana the whole time and spelled everything wrong...

It really just depends what you want to do. Do not base it on attack speed. Do you want to do all kinds of powerful spells? Then be a mage. Later you can choose to be a damage-dealing warlock, or a helpful conjurer that can heal and ressurect (also summons pets).

Or you can be a warrior to do close combat. Later you choose either barbarian (massive damage with regular hits and spells, but usually slower attacks), or a knight (they are a tank, very hard to kill).

Lastly, you can choose to be an archer. Later you choose between hunter (you can tame pets to help you fight, go invisible, track enemies from far distances), or you can choose marksman (that is what i am, they do big damage from very long range. Many damage dealing spells, and can shoot farther than anyone in the game).

sounds like archer for me then, will be hard to choose between hunter and marksman though =o
