This is the second message of this type ... the first was that I finish playing. But at the end of the tunnel there was light, that is not all bad... Now the lights went out.
Thank you guys from NGD ... but as Horus dying - dying still.
I remember what used to be a RO ... super game! was a super game, but unfortunately not today.
Just the latest "shit happens" with Christmas trees from the спектр (только наши на такое Г способны), more precisely your attitude to burglary, surprised me very much. I hope you will reconsider yours attitude towards this or will you keep better control over what happens in the game on NGD servers.
I hope to see you soon military friends / enemies.
Seriously! All the best

I'll reply you directly in native language for you:
No need to accuse me of what the new year, I showed how critical vulnerability exists in the RO. As you say, I was not trying to rob the NGD, but instead kept the information only to themselves. A few days later I'll send them a video about how is the scheme by which they will fix this critical vulnerability. Do you have any idea what could happen if someone started using it for personal gain? On the contrary, rather than to understand the situation, you're the opposite of their Chayesh ... Could first know the whole situation in detail with me in private, rather than shout in the forums about leaving ...
It's a shame I swear ...
LoL. You make it sound oh so positive.
Why dont you mention that you demanded payment in trade?
Disgusting.

It's not your business what I've demanded or not.
I've already solved all issues and details with NGD.

Sure, it would be much better if he would just go full disclosure after his bug report was ignored for months. I bet some players couldn't wait for that - those ones who wanted to buy duped xim for a discount and pay for it via PayPal. Strangely, NGD still didn't confirm or deny this claim, they probably hope it'll slip away.

Horus is a very unstable server, it has its heights and its downs. I think the server is in a little dip but I think NGD should reconsider merging it with the NA server and the French server in that way the server would be alive 24 hours a day and you would finally have a Real (stable) International server

Abuse is abuse. Does not matter whether the glitches or failures in mechanics come from a lack of testing, a lack of oversight or just a failure to adress issues from NGDs part. Over the years NGD has shown too much leniancy towards abusers in many situations. This last situation which was prolly the biggest case of abuse so far has set NGD on the path of a horror movie IMO. To allow it to have happened without repurcussions other then losing items gotten through abusing a broke feature will open the floodgates of those who want to cheat the game. If there is no threat of punishment then due to the lack of morale upbringing by many of the current generation of human beings, expect to see a torrent of people doing and trying to do things they no damn well they shouldn't just cause they have zero fear of being punished by NGD.
Now NGD also needs to get there shit straight and test better and fix things abuseable faster. But personally I fear for there game an there livelyhoods by the precedent they have shown towards people who knowingly cheat the game.
I know many people will disagree with me but I still don't think Horus is dying just quite yet.
As Torcida said, the server is quite unstable population wise. Of that there is no doubt. Is is destabilised by the distance between the very high expectations of its users and resulting updates by NGD.
So we have updates and spikes in activity. This is good. However, some become disappointed and then take a break or leave till the next one which they hope is "that update". And the cycle goes on.
In my view Horus seems to have recovered some of its population. Because of the way the game was structured in the recent past with the teleports, the population struggled because of the perception of an empty/dead server which may not have actually been true. The populations simply kept missing each other. No clashes = perceived dead/dying server.
With the adjustment to the teleports, this problem has been relieved a bit.
Now, while I accept that Torcida may have a decent idea to merge the North America/ Horus servers (not France), or even spin the server off to GameSamba, I am not sure it is in the best interest of NGD.
Here's why. NGD has made statements that suggest to me that the deal with Gamesamba is not really making that much money or rather, has as much potential for revenue as maintaining Horus themselves.
Added to this, we don't know the contract or the revenue sharing deals. I will wager that NGD had to make revenue concessions to make those deals fly. If they spin off Horus now, they could be very well shooting themselves in the foot revenue wise as the revenue share could be much less than total Horus revenue take now.
So it may look good to players on the servers and potentially it could work out however, the financial risk is very high. I would say too high to think about right now.
I know many people will disagree with me but I still don't thing Horus is dying just quite yet.
Agree, people begin to tell that Horus die just because they does not like some change.(a SF reason with what people want to look more credible)
Is is destabilised by the distance between the very high expectations of its users and resulting updates by NGD.
I disagree with you at this point.
Somehow if you look behind, tons of changes are at players request.
The reality is other,at least for old players, many of them will not like this changes. Some of them that play from long time loved the game as it was when they started to play.
This changes are as players expected but they does not like any kind of changes. Its is a idea on the paper but when they see the reality in gameplay look different.
You will see one fact, most of people will come and tell they will take a brake when a massive change comes on the game.
From my point many players again overate some changes.
But people must understand some changes are a must.
At least new UI give the best think ever that for sure make better gameplay :dual spells-bar.
People give too much attentions at some details, but for a new player this eye-candy is a must. For a old player does not matter too much ,just because they focus at details.(as gameplay/balance)
Bugs are and will be.And why not?...some of them enjoy the game using bugs.
For me,as a old player,NGD met the expectations, made all platforms game and finally i have that dual spells-bar that help me to enjoy the game because i am a mouse player. They already proved that they have awesome programing skills.(even Bunch of Heroes it's a very funny game :D)
If there it is a other think that i expect, maybe they will port to others platforms too as Ipad/Android tablets.(it is a personal wish :D)
I never understand what people wish for real,i don't think many of them even know what they want.
And here remember altars and saves position.

(not France),
or even spin the server off to GameSamba, I am not sure it is in the best interest of NGD.
Why wouldn't you merge the French server with Horus and NA? I don't think Gamigo is quite satisfied with the growth of the server when you compare him to either Nifflheim or Muspell therefor I don't see a reason why they would not allow this merge to happen.
That is perhaps even the best thing to do if merging horus and raven together with nemon would be impossible
Kmdk, somehow I think you write you disagree but bring points that seem to agree with me.
Will you disagree that some requests and expectations are too high? Were these expectations misplaced considering the belief of some players that NGD had to ability to deliver? Did the platform not promise so much? Do this player base feel disappointed when such high expectations they had are not realised? What is the fallout from that and the constant hope?
This is the distance I speak of. You write of it too.
Some changes are at player request but many are NGD decisions too. Some changes that were made for players sometimes did not marry with popular opinions. That is the gap.
Old players don't mind changes. What their expectation is that the game retains the same level of 'fun' element that they experienced before. If their expectation of old way vs new way does not end in same or more 'fun' their hopes and expectations are not realised. Another gap.
Some changes are expected but most come as a surprise, both good and bad. Some come so late that it made the game popularity lose momentum and have to start building again.
As for the rest it is a perceptual thing and as such each player's opinion must be considered. There is no overrating or underrating as it simply is the player's opinion and it's important to them. If what a player feels is important and is somehow overlooked by NGD will a distance not appear between expectation and delivery?
What will be the fallout of all this if more and more expectations do not fall reasonably close to delivery? Less or more random logins and resulting population fluctuations not so ?
NGD cannot please everyone nor fulfil all desires. Somehow they must find the middle ground which is an extremely difficult task. In other words bring delivery as close to expectations as possible for their customers , partners and themselves. A task I don't envy. On this I wish them the very best.
@Torcida, I was under the impression that France was not doing too badly.
If NGD has to merge servers, they have to own and run the resulting server in order to maintain the revenue stream. If it is spun off, then they will enter a revenue sharing contract with the publisher which will shave off much of that revenue stream . In other words, the server would have to be full with a high proportion of those players being payers. Else NGD will not meet its revenue targets. I estimate that a spun off server will have to generate maybe 6-10 times as much revenue for NGD to get its royalty to equal the revenue gained by NGD running Horus. It's a numbers game.

This was only a "goodbye" thread.
There's no need to make such a huge discussion out of it.
