Why is there agro?, what is the thinking behind it?,,, the reason im pissed off again i died in a fight because of fucking agro mobs, the knight would have died, but , no, i did, toatl bullshit, just like the no fall damage crap, why hasnt jump been disable either, ngd isnt it about time you got you finger out and fixed all the crap in the game

Meh, even if he says it in such a way it sounds kind of Trollish I think he's right. I've raged countless times because a mob ( or even multiple ) would aggro me, or my enemy so my stun would be useless.. On the other hand, you can't just disable aggro so that's kind of a tough call.

why cant you disable agro, especially in the war zone, it sucks that you cant use area's, sucks that whilst fighting, a mob is lowering buffs and hp, and you die for no reason, especially when you know the other guy was going to die, ngd need to rethink almost everything about this game, and basically stop dicking around with upgrades, and ye there will always be twat trollers

Well basically because the warzone is set in the wilderness, taking place in various ecosystems.
In your case, you were just unlucky.
Dying in a particular circumstance like this that affected you negatively and gave your enemy a certain advantage in combat it's not something you can predict everytime and sometimes it just happens.
Besides, you should keep in mind that if you died due to this, the knight you were fighting with could have died too because of similar reasons.

Or when 2 guys trying 2 kill you and you try that they are running near those mobs and hope they atk them :P

lol frosk, we had this before, thats why we lost realm chat in the wz, its a fantasy world not real life, and with that agro should not be present in the war zone. The mob are a means to an end, and should only be that, isnt this about war/fighting, not dodging around in case you might piss a mob off lol, any hoo it sucks, oh and by the way the knight survived twice, same happened 5 mins earlier :(

Aggro mobs are useful, they can be used to break annoying stun chains. Helps a lot when you're playing a melee class with a huge speed disadvantage. Too bad that it is considered UNHONORABEL!!11 (http://www.myfacewhen.net/uploads/476-hurrr.png) by everyone who has no speed problems. Go figure.
Unfortunately, the A.I. is so fucked up that you never know if a aggro mob is ever going to aggro on you, it seems to bug or something (http://i.imgur.com/f64CA.jpg), then there are times that even if you keep enough distance from it and it will still aggro on you. UNBELRAVEABLE
But that's up to be fixed with the new A.I.
...

Agro mobs are there for only one purpose, to make armor break faster and ppl buy more repair hammers :dumbofme:.
If i could i would disable it too w/o any thinking. More than annoying they are :P

Other games I have played there is system like that; if your level is higher than lvl of the mob the chance of getting aggroed is lower. Somehow imo that makes sense :P

Funny thread.
I have no problem with Aggro. However I agree with Daar. The A.I. is terrible so I do hope that it does get upgraded at some stage .
And, not just a fix, a legitimate upgrade. If it was a wilderness as Frosk suggests then the weakling mobs that are rated unchallenging or worse to you should be freaking scared of you and actually try to avoid (or do nothing) than butt heads with you and do a mighty 7-14 damage . The game should have a 'FEAR' modifier for MoBs. Your resistance to the special powers of these level Mobs should be very high.
The easy and very easy MoBs should know better and only the occasional retarded one will try something. That would be an improved A.I.

i think having aggro mobs is quite a good idea, it can help a player get more experience dealing with situations where they have the disadvantage,
you should also know which mobs aggro or not, so you shouldnt get yourself in this problem in the first place.

Ideally I would rather have no aggros in WZ, but it isn't a huge issue. Maybe more feasible would be actually relocating mobs though, as many are just strewn all over the map with little regard to tactical or even useful locations to travel to or find other players to create grind parties with.
(like Syrtis CS to PP2 is basically an aggro clusterf*ck with no real dense mob locations, makes it harder for grinders to team up/support/defend against gankers and such, and they are in poor areas near bridges etc, so players running to/from get latched on to by aggros or when using area spells etc due to their close proximity to an otherwise active rvr zone.
Not saying remove the risk entirely..just make their areas more defined and less haphazardly strewn all over if you want to promote teamwork and better hunts for grinders as well as gankers, instead of the usual 1 vs 10 rofllolownage that usually happens to a lonely grinder.
