1st and foremost, Hi to everyone and hope your having a good day, this thread is made for those people who is not in favor of the new Lamai race, for whatever reason they may have they can make a comment in here, And so, if your a "pro lamai" this is not for you. Anyway,. before putting up a new race i think there are a lot of issues to be taken care of like simple Constant lags/freezes and crashes (w/c i've been complaining on the ngd support site already) and non of it is being taken care of seriously, like maybe making an upgrade on your server to accommodate Haven players. Just today i just found out that my xim is lost and so is my wmc boost, i bought that boost before the merging and suddenly today i dont have it, it's not even 2 weeks w/c is the boost is suppose to last for 30 days. And about the Lamai race i find it so hard to accept this race bec 1st of all its like putting bugs bunny on a marvel comics, and 2nd i don't think we need another race, even if you think you need to come up with an idea to make $$$ you should have made a cooler race. Did you even ask the consumer/gamers/players if the Design is approve? I find it a waste of time, maybe some will try and fall for that new race but i dont find it special at all. I hope you can make up a better idea, bec its getting to look like your desperate for $$$ and copying other games trying so hard to fit it in regnum. for the past 3-4 years i never complain about anything, its just recently when you updated to 1.9.3. Lags and Crashes never stopped and now your adding another reason to make us lag more. Better up the server 1st. Agree or Disagree

I would understand ading a new class..but race?
regnum allready has more then others MMO.
I think more desireble would be content. More weapons, more armors, better AI on creatures, more events..Warzone for lower levels etc.

I agree with most of what you said, this new race certainly was not a priority. However, this new race is mostly aesthetic, like the new forts and cities, and adds some diversity to RO. I can't imagine this took much effort.

I have a problem with the Lamai story. I like a believable and detailed story in my MMOs, and convincing RP. RO lacks that. The Lamai leave their world one day and are OK with swearing fealty to a realm and killing their brothers and sisters the next? And the two Lamai I've seen in Montsognir aren't the most interesting to talk to, either...

I agree, that the New Race should not be released for now. I mean we JUST merged. SEE the effects of the merge for now! Use the time to arrange some minor fixes, any bugs or glitches in Forts, Walls, Gems, any kind of in the city.(I know there has been some, good job!) Look for problems in the merge, Leave this race for AT LEAST another 3 weeks. But first IMO, I would see the effects of the merge, any kind of problems such as non-appearing drops or Xim items not received. I think the Lamai race should be released after some bug/glitches fixes in-game.

There was many polls about adding new races in game ...now i see lots of people complain for a think that does not touch them ...hmmm
As i told others time ,i am pretty sure graphical team is not same with fixing bugs team.And am very sure each team has they own tasks to do.

But i am agree that server need revamp,first network code tweaked from version 1.0.8 was best one ,had very rare some gosth swings.Now as warrior most of time even target is in front of ya and you get "you are not facing to the enemy" and calculate position is damn worst,sometimes yo run once with the target(visual) but unable to hit because the real position is not there.

Also server have delay of packeges that he sent,not once you are full hp,not a hit and next second you get all in one hits and respawn at altar.Also many times after you resurect you will see in log and visual dmg from 20-30 seconds before you die.Maybe time to add more cores to server ,or new server.

About time to add ,not voted,just because each team from ngd(i think not sure too) add they content that they created when it is finished.
And is not related to timing.I am very sure fixing lag ,improve server it is on ngd priority list ,but is a more dificult task because they write they own code.

For me case is simple: I do not like new race. The reason is because Regnum had medieval and serious look, without childish content like other MMOs have, and that made it in my eyes to stand out of other games on the market (along with free war zone).

The first WTF was introduction of Kelonte, but over time I used to it as its just a mob I see very rare now. Second WTF was allowing wearing football dresses and other clown enchantments after the event.

This race is for me the third WTF. If something childish is cool in other games it doesnt mean you need to copy that in your game that has its own unique look and style. Also,making yet another small race without fixing / improving selection system just shows there is no real plan for this game except throwing in random items to improve selling some premium (like grind scrolls, level scrolls etc). Another fact is the background story: they lived peacefully in small place, something terrible made them run away, they hoped in three realms and fight against each other. Really? :play_ball:
Every realm had their unique races which is good IMO. Now all realms have 1 common race? Why not adding to each realm one new unique race or replace one current with one new (fact is that Alturians, Moloks and Nordos are all humans with just slight base skin color and few minor look enchantments).

This is my first impression and thoughts of some players I spoke with. Will see once they re in game how things go.

Regnum had an unique identity and background story compared to the thousand of other MMO clones and that's what I liked. Now with the introduction of this new race and the ridiculous outfits, it's slowly but surely loosing its own identity.

Also, I bet a good time has been spent to correctly animate and bugfix this new race while it would have been better employed correcting the 5 years old bugs and the myriad of game engine issues. And even, if you really needed to create new content why not just adding new faces or more character customisation options (that are the same few ones since the game exists) ?

No instead we just get a new useless bunny race that has no place in Regnum's environment....

NGD's designer worked on this race, code developers had probably hardly any work with it.

more lag because of a new race, is a funny argument IMHO.

But otherwise I agree that this new ugly race will not really improve the game. Maybe their designer should work on the landscape or on towns instead. But on the other hand if they include more textures and detail it will probably make us lag more.

Also I don't really see why this group (not going to say large because most of the people I've spoken to in-game said they liked them, so do I) hates the Lamai. I mean, Regnum Online is already a fantasy world and I think Lamai fits too, not perfectly but it fits in my eyes. Just do something about the godd*mn storyline in total, not just Lamai. Fantasy combined with Medieval style is probably the best combination there is. Again, my opinion.

How many times they have said in every updates they had fix bugs and what not? probably they did, but recently, it just got worst. Same thing with "CS fixed" it wasn't event broken or bugged, it was perfectly fine-- they nerfed it. Prolly bec they put another gear w/c is the bracelet. My concern is, they should have put more time revamping and fixing old issues w/c had gone worst for the last update and now with the merging before doing such actions like adding a new race. Just like i said, i really dont complain for the past 3-4 yrs playing this game till now. Just to add on, when they raise the lvl cap to 60 i wasn't given a free 500xp scroll w/c they gave freely after that update, i didn't complained about it and just let it go. And recently my pain got worst, i cant hardly play with the lags 24/7. i lost xim and my purchase wmc boost w/c is active was suddenly lost too?? Is it still me? i have a good internet connection with 5k mbps at home, a good geared computer and God knows what else in it. All im asking is they should do something about it 1st. I spend money in this game too you know.

I really hope this race will be avaible only in ONE REALM. If not it would kill this game. Look on bears, kelonte, unicorns, football kits - where is old bloody REGNUM ONLINE?
One race for three realms- thats what people hate.

The best move is add it to Alsius, build new for Ignis and Syrtis, otherwise do not introduce it.

I really have to think on piglet of Winnie-the-Pooh when I see a female Lamai. Oh and what a coincidence on the Ra server Ignis realm players are often named pigs... So it would clearly fit best to Ignis.
