I will be equipping my WM gear soon and I have a question about enhancement slots.
If I purchase a Major Enhancement / Gold Surprise Magic Gem xim item.
Will I be able to cancel to reset the random list of available choices?
I do not want to get stuck with enhancements or gems that I can't trade and DO NOT need.
My character as some know is a primary support conjurer who only needs mana and cast speed bonus... and maybe some extra defense.
So will I be able to cancel to reset the random list of available choices?

I'm not really sure what you mean, but if you use the item, you can cancel before selecting which type of gem/armor enhancement you want; and the item will remain in your inventory.

There isn't a random list, and you won't get a mana enhancement.
Armor enhancements give 1 or 2% of protection for the selected damage type.
Gem boxes give CS, AS, HC and damage gems, what you choose is what you get.

I can explain;
if you purchase major armor enchancement, double clicking it opens new in-game window that allow you to choose what kind of enchancement you want. However, if you decide not to select enchancement yet you can just push cancel and the item will remain in your inventory. You can choose from piercing, slash, blunt, fire, cold and lighting. If you choose piercing enchancement, you will get resist piercing 2%. The 2% is stable from major enchancement, you won't get 1% or 3%. If you buy minor armor enchancement, you can again select what type you want but it will be only 1%.
Be also aware currently there is no way to get enchancements out of your armor part so choose wisely what you put in :P
If you buy gold gem box, you can again choose the type of gem you want. You can choose from fire, ice, lighting, blunt, slash, piercing, attack speed, cast speed and hit chance. This time tho it's random that decides how powerful your gem is. As example, you choose cast speed gem(nephrite), you get major nephrite(3-4% cs) OR great nephrite(5-7% cs). I can only wish you luck with that!
Also same as with enchancements, double clicking gem box in your inventory opens list that allow you to select type. You can simply push cancel if you wish not to choose yet.
Armor enchancements are ONLY damage resists and gems are either hc, dmg, cs or as. Armor enchancements can be put only into armors and gems can be only put into weapons, staves and bows.
With both enchancements and gem boxes, once you push accept there is no way to cancel it.
Hope that cleared up something!

A suggestion would be to try it out on Amun first. Unless you have a Raven account and that isn't an option but I doubt the OP will have that problem based on his/her previous posts.
If you spend Xim on amun and relog, your xim would be returned to its original state so you can spend as much as you like to test which combinations would suit you the most.
As mentioned before, enhancements only provide you with a 2% protection to a damage type of your choice or 1% for the minor enhancement. As a conjurer you would probably want to choose pierce due to the large amount of archers targetting mages at fort wars. If you don't mind getting hit by arrows all the time I would suggest slash as an alternative to give you a little protection against all those SC monkeys.
Remember that you don't have to wear your WM armour to be a warmaster so if you feel the stats on the gear you have outweighs the extra armour and protection on the WM armour I wouldn't suggest buying these. As a mage, you're never ever going to have a good passive defense so having enough pierce resist to nullify the damage of those archer guards at forts would be enough imho.
As for gems, you should only be selecting cast speed. None of the other gems are useful to a mage unless you plan on going warjurer which I hope you aren't.

Thank you very much. That cleared it all up for me well.
Now I know how to prepare my Warmaster gear!

I was thinking that is how it goes. Thanks for the clarification!
If you have better stats on your current gear use it. I still wear my level 50 gear, because of the stats on items. Maybe you can pile up pierce resist on WM gear, but i do not know how it can influence normals that archers will do.
To get WM spells you only need to equip tunic, gloves, hat once. Staff is not needed to buy.

That^. And don't fuse ANY of the gear BEFORE getting Warmaster.

One question regarding enhancements. Can I stack the enhancements of the same type on the same piece of armor? For example, to put 2 x 2% piercing resistance on tunic which will give me 4% in total for that tunic?

Yes, you can use the same kind of enhancements for the whole set of armour, for example 15x2% piercing resistance.

I just have a quick question regarding armor enhancements. I'm aware that the base armor resists increases your armor towards its respective damage type based on its rating towards it. Does the enhancements act in the same way or does it reduce the incoming damage of this specific type by the percentage of the combined enhancements?
For example, if I have a fully enhanced set of warmaster armor all to a specific damage type, for example slash. Would this mean that my armor points towards slash damage increases by 30% or the incoming slash damage gets reduced by 30%?

2nd it works same way as those % resists on armors with bonuses.
