Non-mage classes & Casting speed

The mage-cs-topic has been discussed a million times since mages got nerfed.

Actually i'm curious, how much non-mage classes can improve the casting speed.
Why?
Since a few days i see a hunter with extraordinary casting speed. Almost instant Ambush. Almost instant distracting shot. Very fast camo.

Mages can have extra cs in three parts of the armour and in the staff.

I guess this hunter is using a 7% cs gem, that's out of question. But i never saw any archer leggins/bp/gauntles/etc with additional cs. Did you?
As far as i know there are no items, which can improve the cs for a non-mage class so much, except the gem in the weapon.

Or maybe there is another explanation how an archer can reduce ambush casting from 1 sec to 0.2 sec? And camo from 4.5 to 2 sec?

I'm sure there must be a logical explanation, because there are no cheaters in RO, so please save me from my ignorance once more :-)

So i guess it is possible to collect 5 pieces of elite armour with 5-7% cs bonus, right? When we sum it together it makes 25%-35% cs bonus. Not to forget the weapon with implemented 2-7% cs + gem (7%cs). Almost 40-49% cs bonus in the end.

Well, that explains a lot. That hunter must be in possession of such a set.

This items are from a level 16 Ignis quest and you can't drop similar stuff (as far as I know)

You can get Cast speed on pauldrons (5%) and on a wep (5% + 7%(gem)).
Ignis can also get the lvl 16 items shown, and leggings with the same stats.

Everything is fine, but with these light set you have mage-like armor points and almost no resists. 450 + normals on you in place of 150 or so... no thanks.

I typed it before people start to complain how OP Ignis are... light armor set have bugged resists, less than it have :dumbofme:

Is there a limit to a non-mage class about how much CS he can have? I have a 9cs lb which is great with my 4cs pauldrons. But I heard you can only recieve 5cs from it. Is that true?

You mean, even if someone collects many items with large cs-bonus, it can not be summed like in the simulation from my previous post? That means, there is no such possibility for hunters to have 40-50% additional cs?

I noticed lately that if you can time casts good you can save time from casting animations.

For example on mages if you cast a spell and next one is casted on a middle of the staff swing you save good time portion. If you cast spell after this point next cast does full staff swing.

I do not know if this is possible on other classes.

I don't think so. I, as a marksman, don't have much big spells which needs a long casting time. So the difference is minimal to me. Although even for Def. Portal I barely see a difference. In all I can have 13%cs and it's barely useful. I just have it to say, maybe I can cast Ambush faster than my enemy. Still I don't know if there is a limit to cs a non-mage class can recieve...

I can have over 18% casting speed on my hunter.

The casting times you see from people that seem crazy fast are due to pre cast bugs. There is a way to run and cast all skills. There is a way to speed cast all skills. The main reason I dont use my cs 11% shortbow is because my cs 7% shortbow is the same speed with all my other items. On average I have 12% casting speed at all times.

Honestly, i don't know what i could reply to you.
One basic thing i learnd since i'm active on this forum is: When you have no proof, better shut the f**k up.

If you don't abuse any illegal methods, i guess nothing will change and we will meet in the wz again and again.
If you do, sooner or later you will join hun and some other smart guys on the cheaters cemetery.

I mean, a syrtis friend told me about this thread and said they heard you talking about me in relation to it lol. Basically, when you're around a tree, and one person comes from one side to the other, you continue to cast the speed through the tree, if that makes sense. It's not cheating, it just happens.. if you don't continue past the other side of the tree, i can't hit you with it, though. It's kind of hard to explain, but i'm not using any cheating methods, honest.

Here is my video, you are there at 15:00, i'd just killed someone and went semi afk and you attacked me, so i recorded because i started with half hp. Watch when you go to a tree though, it shows where I started casting dist shot.

Yea, that was noob. Shame on me. But as far as i remember we met two times in a 1vs1 pvp. The first time i won. The second time i was attacked by Kanadianoulla and Truby from behind when you had 5-10% hp left and (s)he finished what i began with one shot. So you're the last to judge me i guess.

Edit 2: not instantly, Monday skipped the first 30 sec in his vid. Not that it makes a difference though xD

I promise you I'm not cheating, I can screenshot my gear if it makes any difference? :S I have a good connection and know when to cast, but I don't cheat or have uber cast speed.

Also, in the video, that's all I had, i.e. when I pressed record lol. I was semi afk and came back then pressed record when I realised what was happening :D

1) I distraced Monday
2) I used Ambush. He resisted.
3) He casted sotw instantly to avoid confuse.
4) I was keeping distance to wait till his sotw is over.
5) He came closer and buffed.
6) When he was in range i used sotw to avoid his ds/confuse.

The rest is on the vid. Somewhere between 3) and 6) i fucked it up. What would you do after 3)?

My sotw wasn't on cooldown in the start of that video.. I don't think it matters all that much though, there will be other times for us lol

'Tis simple any non mage class should not be allowed to cast any spell due to their non maginess. You have a choice of 3 to start with (all 6 with premium)

MY question is, why is it a barb can hit harder than my mage (regardless of the race size?)
