Had a check. I doubt.

If the 'single fort battle' was the one at Samal earlier, I would consider that you and your colleagues did spend a very long time there and you and your fellow oversized behemoths did attract quite an amount of attention and as such, would sustain a lot of damage. As such repair costs may sky rocket.

If it was elsewhere, I don't know what to tell you.

My equipment damage that I collected from the Samal battle earlier quite normal for a battle of that extended nature. So I would say no. I was there from start to close to the end.

I am not sure what that pic was supposed to prove. If you run around and are either too lazy to repair or don't want to buy the very cheap repair hammers then that is on you. Besides, gold collection is sooo much easier these days.

I find that when I repair often and when the damage is low, repair costs are much easier to deal with. When you let almost everything go to breaking point (especially with high durability items), it costs you more the longer you wait.

I suggest you repair often, It will save you. If not then throw some cash NGD's way (or beg for Xim gift) and get some repair hammers.

Hello!

Gold repairs haven't been raised. As a suggestion, I'd give it to try to what bois said on his posts, in this same thread.

Best regards! :)

are you sure?
I mean - the shorter you wait for repairing your armour, the more often you have to pay :D
I always thought this would compensate each other.

Its true that if you have op gear repairs will hurt your wallet badly, magical/epic weapons and armours ftw, i notice it too when i play my hunter.... 20-30 mins fight at a fort= 30-50k reapirs :s.

I wish we could buy repair hammers at least for our rps :D

Lol... stop trying hide your char name and stuff, it's useless everyone know all your chars...

So maybe the curve changed then?

In the past it was exponential.

If you didnt notice that screen was made in 2010, i doubt you knew all my chars back then :punk:.
And no, I dont have the original picture already, i always delete the originals for an unknown reason after the changes are made.

In any case,I think Frosk answered good enough and the evidence that I have regarding my own repairs leads me to agree with him. I do not think that the alleged exponential curve was replaced with a straight line one either. I don't think they did anything at all.

You simply collected more damage because you lived longer, took more damage because you could tank and stayed at the locations longer. Thank the draconic gem for your repair bill.

You know, Hammers are pretty cheap. I keep a couple on Mamiya whereever I go.

my bow durability seems fucking absurde 180/180 goes to 15/18 in only few hours of gameplay

In my opinion the better the item is, the quicker it is needed to be repaired.

But that doesn't bother me much 'cause I use those cheap hammers of repair.

That's a kind of premium item that doesn't screw up balance.

I haven't repaired my items in a month...still durable...but I'm getting afraid of the price:mf_hide:

The trick is to never let your item durability go into the reds. I seriously doubt your gear can take on that much durability in a few fort wars.

Funny story. I remember when the winners of that World Cup event in 2010 were finally awarded their prizes. I was so excited to test out my shiny new bow on an unchallenging goblor lurking around the market only to find that the bow's durability went from full to zero after firing one arrow. It had a lovely 300k repair bill too. A day later NGD announced that they fixed the bug that caused these weapons to break so fast. So NGD... I'm still waiting for my reimbursement.

Do repair costs go up the less durability it is (as far as cost per durability point, of course it would cost more if you have less durability), but here's my question.

Better to repair every time you go to the shop or wait until it is 1/??? durability. Which is more cost efficient.

I remember a while ago someone told me to wait until it is broken, keep more than one weapon, and just wait, but is it true to the cost?

He may have been referring to repair hammers in that context.

If paying with gold its better to repair as much as possible however when using repair hammers, its better to wait until most of your gear is in the red or completely broken to use it.

Also when you hear a friend is about to use a repair hammer, ask him if he'd like to hang onto your gear when he uses it for a free repair.

To be specific, my repair costs haven't gone up, they simply occur more often now. The gp-cost hasn't risen, but the rate of durability-degradation seems to have increased. This isn't recent imho, as I noticed it doing so almost a year ago. Anyone else think the rate of gear-going-bad has accelerated? :(
