I think there is a quest in the initation zone with a realm escort and he lead him in the wz.

Well these are avaible to all classes, and defend that char.
So, why do these ''npc's'' act like pets in WZ?

1) What is this thing?
Realm escort - temporary (20 minutes?) guard that follows you, while you have a specific quest activated. The realm escort was bugged for a long time (didn't work at all) and was fixed few month ago.

2) Where can you get it?
At Essadi village during a lvl +-10 quest

3) Who can get it?
Any ignean

4) How can you get it?
Accepting the quest and activating according item in your inventory

5) Available for other realms, is it?
No.
