Hi everyone!
We're getting closer to the release date and we want to share with you the improvements that the upcoming version of Regnum Online will include.
It'd be really helpful that you test all the features available in the "Auction House", as well as if the function of the new powers match their description.
In the same way, if you detect any position or collision errors related to the artistically modified zones, please, attach a screenshot to the report you wish to post.
Please, the only purpose of this thread is to find any errors/bugs.
Any discussion related to balance is not related to this thread, since there's already a section specified to such purpose.

Regnum Online - Changelog - 1.9.7 Version.
Content/Gameplay:
New: Auction House (Allows to trade items between users). These are found in the main city's surroundings of each realm.
New: Mailbox. Allows users to receive messages from the Auction House. These are found near the city stables and in the Warzone Marketplaces.
New: Legendary armors and weapons have been added to creature's loot. This equipment adds 1 more modifier compared to the Epic ones. The additional modifiers from the "Legendary" equipment cannot be obtained in less rare items.
New: Arcane Magnanite Weapons. Obtainable through a new quest available in the main city of each realm.
New: Halloween Event (will be activated on October 30th).
Content/Balance:
New: The WarMaster disciplines have been redesigned. Now they differ among subclasses and contain new powers, and a redistribution of the preexistent powers as well.
Engine:
Modified: Map and minimap system has been optimized, improving the visual aspect during its load and reducing the memory consumption in approximately 50 mb.
Modified: Effects system optimizations which prevent certain unexpected client crashes.
Content/Premium:
Modified: The "Item Mall" window has been reorganized to improve its usability.
New: Diamond Lucky Box (it has a chance to grant a legendary item).
New: Halloween-themed objects.
Zarkit Custome (Includes mask).
Frankestein Mask.
Wizardry Hat.
Halloween-Themed Horse.
Magic Broom.
Magic Wand.
Visual/Art:
Modified: Character's beards now use the same material as the hair, being affected by ambient illumination.
New: The zones listed below have been redesigned:
Daen Rha near-by ruins.
Ancient Alsius Ruins.
Ancient Syrtis Ruins.
Warzone Cemetery (Alsius).
Oasis near the Samal Altar of Resurrection.
The Dark Mine (Ignis).
All pines in the world have been redesigned.
All pinewood forests have been reorganized.
Dvergardunn Run (Alsius).
Kheled's Slope (Alsius).
Birka surroudings (Alsius).
Montsognir surroundings (Alsius).
Snowy Rocks (Alsius).
Warzone Markets have been redesigned.

Okay NGD I have absolutely nothing against evolution of items and your attempts to make money from it (it's normal, you're not here for charity afterall) but not when it doesn't equally profit to all classes ! Yet another updates where Mages are being forgotten and left with their fixed and non-evolutive design !! (http://regnumonlinegame.com/forum/showpost.php?p=1658037&postcount=89)
I know I'm being very annoying with this issue and I will be until you reconsider redesigning Mages to have scalable damage spells and useful item and character stats besides Cast Speed like common sense in every RPG would tell.

I dont see any of the new premium items yet. Box/Mount/Costumes.
Also i see only the old Magnanite quests. Or are the new magna-quests at a different NPC?
* Barbarian Defensive beacon shows as Offensive beacon in spellbook/quickbar
Horn of the Wind description (in english) don't indicate number of allies needed for it to work, nor does the "error" message when you try to cast it without enough allies around.
I can't find new quest for new Magnatites Weapons in Fisgael.

I had another close look at the great auction house:
Once you've read and deleted the bottommost mail in your inbox, you can't click the lowest anymore. And by viewing the second-last mail afterwards, the now lowest one just disappears. But it seems that they reappear after reopening hedwig's window.

What do you discount fee for? And how much % is it?

minor bug: if you drag your item onto the garbage can before selling it, it can be sill found under "my auctions" after if it has already been sold. (I don't know for how long, guess until the time is up)

and divine protection isn't bugged anymore, but its sound is way too silent, you can barely hear it with full sound.

I still think that gold is no appropriate currency for Regnum, as long as there is no gold reset.

The water is still bugged in opengl. It would be nice to get this fixed soon, as Oasis is still quite big area and right next to ignis save. Looks disturbing when it is looking like this http://i.imgur.com/H1x09.jpg
Another little error I found in auction house, the gold in left down corner is not updated in real time after I bid or buyout something. I have to open aution house again or make new search.
Auction house though worries me, hope you were very careful when coding it as I see it new possibility for cheaters to use it to duplicate items etc.
Auction house suggestion/problem, when I choose category <weapons> as example and hit search, sometimes it shows few weapons and sometimes nothing. I think it would be nice if it actually showed all items that fit in weapons category, instead of forcing to choose subcategory first. Too much clicking :p

WM conjurer: Is this error with warmaster int passive? On my conjurer, I typed /reset_powers, and the intelligence passive seems to be removed from warmaster powers, but I still have same amount of intelligence as on Haven with wm int passive. I removed all my items, reseted powers so all are at zero, but still character stats look like I have buffed intelligence from somewhere http://i.imgur.com/8QteH.jpg
WM Warlock: Same problem with passive int, as I have on my conjurer. Also, I can cast mass pricking ivy without selecting target!! I tried to cast it on Orc close to fisgael, but it seems this spell has no effect right now. Does not seem to work on enemies either. Edit; nvm. Mass pricking ivy is working right like esptupac said. I was once again a bit slow, thought it would work like the usual pricking ivy, so this part of my post can be ignored.
WM Marksman: I can cast horn without allies close to me, is it supposed to work now like this?
WM Hunter: Unlike for marksman, hunter requires at least 1 ally to have close to be able to use horn. Error?

That mass ivy spell works like timemaster no target needed as long as they are in range.

Like Eyfura said, there's some bug with WM might.
When you reset powers, you have +15% class attribute. When you skill WM might, you get an additional +15%.

Thank you for finally removing Offensive beacon, it was the bane of the game for all classes.
(balance Mind squasher next? :p)
I don't see many bugs with the terrain... the only ones that there are so far result from NGD's poor collision system, which they can't work around I guess.
However..
Please do not allow this update to go live with horn on marksmen... everyone is sick and tired of kiting-centric gameplay. Not only will this make enemy marks run away, but its going to encourage me to run away too, since archers are the only ones who can do it. Why would I pass up a trump card?
Also some of the Warmaster powers, like the Knight's abilities, are really sad with zero effort put into them. Please rethink this. Getting to Warmaster status is very difficult in the current implementation, so the powers that you receive need to be worth the loss of dicipline points from skiling the tree. Currently, for many classes the proposed skills simply will not be used, or will only be used occasionally. Many players may drop everything except War Council.
I don't think making Warmasters less common is the solution to balancing them, since a bare level 60 is even more overpowered than a WM!

I don't understand what the problem is with archers having hotw.
All mages and warriors do is hump trees and rocks, even when archers don't have hotw, so having hotw will not change anything. Warriors have onsl which is a good substitute for hotw, and something vaniteuses raped with on Raven, maybe our warriors (mainly barbs) should stop being so selfish and instead of skilling for max damage, take points away from fulmi 5, roar 5, kick 5, off. stance, etc. and pick up onsl.
Besides, NGD said this is just a quick-fix and more changes will come in december. They are just doing this because of the drastic situation.

Umm...no it doesn't. Maybe in 1v1, you could make the argument, but in RvR, a WM is much more overpowered, or helpful to their realm (since that would be the equivalent of being OP in RvR), than a non-WM

Kind of ridicules to have legendary bonus called +x% critical hit chance when the regular bonus +hit chance give a much higher effect on critical hit chance.

Yes, it is true. Tunics and Leggings can have a Movement Speed bonus only in Legendary items.

Biased ? To remove Horn from all classes, like someone said, game is better without Horn. All complain about it on Spanish and English forum. Where is bias ?
Moving over-powered skill from all classes to one just does not solve the problem, but makes it even more radical.
There are repeated argument all over every thread, and GreenAngel trolling every two posts to save OP Horn for archers, which just simply shows he is playing that class.

I Do Play Barb, And Trust Me, The Only Class More OP Than Barb Is Marx With Horn And Conjurer, Nothing Else. And U Want Horn To Be Removed, So Barb Is Now Most OP (across the conju :3)?

I agree with Tamui's view on Mister Mashu. All you say and do, Mashu, is about nerfing archers and whining about barbs getting nerfed (which is not the truth). Sure ranged with horn is a bit too much I guess, but it only works with 3 people close to you (right?) and when they are playing against 2 warriors they are supposed to win anyway. When they are fighting larger numbers the chances are big that their enemy also has WM archers, and thus horn.
It would be better of course if the class with the least range and the slowest speed got horn... we all know which class that is right? And no Mister Mashu, that's not barb.
Awesome job NGD, I tried very hard but the fountain's selection area is just the fountain now :D

or something like that?
This would make hit'n'run impossible and it could only be used in RvR for very quick rushes. You know - archers being responsible for the moment of surprise in fort battles.

30s is an insane OP duration, that was most of the problem, and your suggestion is actually not bad idea. That could add some dynamics as well.

I am trolling? You must be kidding me right? The only thing you say is "get rid of horn!" atleast I give some suggestions, you probably don't even care reading them. You said 15% with shorter duration would be fine to you so I said this and I will say it again:

Most (with one exception) of your posts expressed hate and anger toward barbs, and you only cared about archers, this way you just convince people not to read some of your potentialy valuable suggestions.

Nothing, but there should be really limit on posting on forum. So people will think before posting, and there will be less craying, trolling, and spamming without any vaild arguments.

You should consider writing more on topic, next time, and stop crying about barbs, you have range, you have horn now.

I also saw it somewhere, and I hope it will be fixed. I like the suggestion for 3x shorter duration of Horn (10s), and it should behave like Onslaught, that its not self affecting.
Imho, this would solve most of problems, and arguments.

T h a n k s for your first compliment. I don't think it should act like Onslaught though, it's a WM spell and with it only being 15% and 10 seconds and a long CD in comparisation to the duration. I think it would be fair if the caster could get this bonus as well. I will not argue about the rest of your posts.

I just tried for a short time, worked for me, what i miss is searching without filters, but still this is something great i think. Mb no posts couse everybody happy with it.:) Really a great job! ty!

I know its exaggerated, probably wont be used much, but max price is 100 mil.
I cannot set bid price 50 mil, and buyout price 100 mil.
It says max is 100 mil, when I set 99,999,999 it works.
So basically dialog says 100mil is max, but in fact 99mil is max.
For lower values it works.
I dont see items there.. so I cannot really test. Would be nice if by default it would show some auctioned items. I added some gems, but I guess I cannot by them myself ?
Also there is a problem that bidprice cannot be equal to buyout price :)
Also as for WM, please consider shorter duration for Horn like others suggested.

it's working but not that perfectly.

True, I would also like it to show at least something when filter is not specified, and then after setting filter, it should limit displayed items.

I know, but it's already a great step forward, you'll be horned now, I'll be horned, we'll be horned. Sure I think 30s is waaaaaay too long. Especially during bridge wars.

These updates look very promising. I'm still unsure about how the new wm skill arrangements will work out, but I'm glad offensive beacon is gone and if horn works as advertised (requiring 4 or more allies nearby) then it seems ok to me too.
I'll probably be popping in to try it out a bit, but I doubt I'll be back for any serious play until I can save up for another computer...which might take a couple months.
But I do plan on coming back, and I look forward to RO war again without boats during invasions, without wm offensive beacons and with magna-trade re-enabled and the new auction house. I'm optimistic!

These updates look very promising. I'm still unsure about how the new wm skill arrangements will work out, but I'm glad offensive beacon is gone and if horn works as advertised (requiring 4 or more allies nearby) then it seems ok to me too.

I think the combat gameplay will have huge changes because of removing the Offensive Beacon spell, with his high resistances.
After a couple of weeks of observation maybe some adjustments will be needed, but I have good impressions about what I saw in AMUN.

Very promising! At least now I have much more reasons to become WM.
I like new Auction system. I saw many posts about magnas. But I don't think magnas should be legal currency. For me Gold is OK. Maybe some deflation and removing of Gold-Booster will increase economy.

I am seeing lot's of comments on the WM tree, but no comments at all on the auction house.
is it working perfectly?
It seem to work well, i seen no real issues.
When action is about to end, it would be nice if some time were added in case of a late bid. Im not sure if the feature exist or not?
I also think 5 item limit is a little low, especially for low populated servers.
Is there any chance that you will increase this after awhile or for specific servers if the numbers of auction are too low?

Some comments about the auction house;
When I click on "Buyout", confirmation window appears and says "Are you sure you want to bid for xxxx?". Not very big issue but since you wanted some reports regarding to auction house.
Gold still not updated in real time in auction house window, screenshot taken after I have buyouted item: http://i.imgur.com/82WqJ.jpg . If you actually wanted to make this more perfect, when you are bidding for item, text would be printed out into combat log "You have bid 50000 gold for elite knight sword".
Like someone already said, when you are bidding it would be nice if on bid window was already set the minimum amount of bid, so you can just push Accept. Sometimes when you try to *edit* the bid value on bidding window, it goes wrong and put in wrong number. Try it, you should then know what I am talking about.
Once I have bid for item, I can open "Auctions" tab but I can't buyout the item there, because the buyout button is greyed out. However, I can use search and buyout the item this way.
Minor problem: I have stacked items, like magnanites, lets say 100 pieces. I want to sell 50 of them. When I am dragging magnas into auction house, there is no option to split the stack. This would require then I first put 50 magnas into stash, then drag the other 50 magnas I have left into auction house. That is a bit complex.
I tried the new lucky boxes on amun. I bought 8 at once and only one was legendary. It seems epic items can't have stats like resist dizzy or movement speed, it is only fourth bonus for legendary items(?)
I am fine with this, but just one thing... I really hope you reconsider about adding movement speed as bonus in legendary items. Even if it is just like 5% at max, I still see how non-luckybox buyers will have problems to catch people who can box movement speed equipment. People complained about horn of the wind since WM update, now rich people get passive movement speed also...
Other than that, thank you for the auction house!! I have been waiting for it so long. Didn't find any serious issues on it, seems to work like expected. Of course something might come up once in heavy use in live servers, but we will see.

So, my few cents:
Auction house: Good, works well-enough, minor tweaks should be done, such as being able to choose the amount of auctioned item (loot etc.), having sub-class search field would be nice as well (eg. showing all equip for warlock, hunter etc.). Additionaly, if you leave all fields blank, all items in the process of auctioning should be shown.
All of this might have been mentioned previously, by other players.
The only area in-game that I'm a bit worried about is the economy - untill now gold had virtualy no value, old players, that are in posession of wast amounts of gold AND good gear, might just set the prices too high for "regular" users to obtain. Only time will show this though.
Legendary items: I suspected, that new items would come sooner or later, in general it is a good step. Increasing NGDs income is a positive thing, non-premium players have small chance to obtain them, but with the addition of auction house, this chance could increase. Depends on how the servers economy turns out.
I dislike the unique bonuses on the Legendary items though. i have nothing agains the heal bonuses, crit chance bonuses or main attribute increases (although this means that the attributes for all sub-classes should be revised). Movement speed bonus struck me a bit, as movement speed is an extremely important factor in the game (by which I mean that in some cases it is more important than damage or armor). Now the weak movement spells such as "mobility" or "wild spirit" will be diminished, due to passive speed from leggings etc. There is not much information on which equipment the speed bonus can be on, or what's the limit. Therefore I will wait until this is explained, untill I comment further on this.
Generaly, I am against the above mentioned bonuses (and others) being only on the new, legendary, gear. This means that no new epic, magic, or special items can have these bonuses, right? This is unfair imo, as the chance of gaining the correct sub-class, specific bonus, good stats gear via non-premium sources, is virtually zero.
Therefore I would like to see special, magical and epic gear being able to have those "new" bonuses (of course side-by-side with the introduction of legendary items), othervise the premium x non-premium imballance would be a bit too great imho.
It also depends on what the chances are of boxing such legendary gear are, but I'm sure that neverless how low they are, "hardcore" premium users will spend money on them. That's fine with me, as long as the bonuses are introduced to less-rare items as well.
I am genuinely interested in this update, as it has several impacts aside from gameplay, such as economy and premium/non-premium balance question. The player-base of the server will decide how things will develop, and I'm quite curious how the server will turn out. It might be "the update", that everyone's hoping for, it might turn out 'ignored', or it might ruin the remains of Haven. We will see.

That's because the "Auctions" -> "Winning" shows the auctions you're currently winning.
Once the auction's over, the item is not shown there anymore.
In case you never saw the item there, even while you were winning and the auction was still going, then it could've been a bug.

Just a quick related question; In case someone outbid's me (Item I was winning, but someone bet more), am I notified somewhere, or does the item just disappear from the list?
It would be useful to see all of the auctions I participate in, not only those that I'm currently winning.

Once someone outbids you, you'll receive a letter from the auction house containing the gold you've previously offered, and the item you were bidding will show up in "Auctions" -> "Losing".
If you raise the bid again, it will pop up again back to "Winning".

The only suggestion I have is, that there would be a clear explanation of the whole auction house somewhere. This could be either in the "help" in game (which needs updating anyway), or the auctioner could have another conversation option, such as "auction tutorial", where everything would be explained.
New players and players that don't read the forum might find it difficult to understand the current implementation..

Only reason i can see why someone would do that is to transfer money despite the 10% fee or because they want to up the bidding on their own items.
Maybe it a good idea to allow money transfers between characters anyway, since you can already transfer items.
Also the 5 item limit for each character, why not make it a higher limit for the whole account instead?
Now will just have to use multiple characters, maybe even create new character just to maximize the number of auctions you can have. That feels a little unnecessary to me.

I checked Amun again, and all seems quite well. If the few bugs mentioned in this thread are hunted down, the auction house seems to be complete from my point of view, wm powers are working (for warlock at least).

I noticed that there is no prolonging of auction when you bid in the last minute. What happens when several players are trying to win an item in the last minute?
I feel its vital that you add more time to an auction once a bid is placed near the ending, only to give everyone a fair chance to bid and the seller the price that his item really deserves.

It could also be useful with a tab just to follow auctions of interest without placing a bid.
A searchable list with finished auctions and ending price, to make it easier to know the value of your items.

I see your point, and we tried this. The system grants the "auction winner" status to the last user who bid the highest price.
We even tried buying the same item at the same time from different characters to see if this got corrupted somehow and it didn't.
Anyway, let's see how this progresses as time goes by. We'll keep in mind a feature like the one you mentioned if its implementation becomes strictly necessary.

There is one bug I found with stats. I got a legendary weapon and it increased my strength by 6%. When I unequipped it, my character still has the bonus on, even when I threw the legendary weapon away and reset my powers. I can't get rid of the bonus the item gave me.

Think because main attribute binded to classes not to subclasses, so it would be hard to code it. But i see your point since there will be main attribute bonuses on legendary items. That is actually quite an awesome spell.
To me horn seems like it will be okay now that its limited to just hunters and requires 3 allies and 5% drop in speed. But we'll see how it goes.

I like the new marks spell, but what about the other, shitty one? It is completely useless. Eagle eye has the same effect for less mana(?), no cd, and no immobilization. Can that be changed to something actually useful? Like maybe a spell/passive that gives mana since wits hardly helps and RA at lvl 5 is a mana raper.

For eagle eye to give the same affect, Longbows has to be maxed out and 5 power points have to be spent on that spell. It also costs 20 more mana. Plus, you can skill both spells for a very high HC.

Most marks already max out long bows, so that isnt a problem. And as NGD has sad, they plan on making WM powers cost pp in december, so that argument cant be used. Also, @"whar is the point in skilling for very high HC? I barely miss with the hc I have and who is gonna skill a skill that completely immobilizes so you that you can get assraped by any and all classes.
Yes, all healing spells for allies, but you can't do it with heal self and regen self.

Possibility to regenerate self and ally even it was full HP was nice. Please please revert this, so regen self/ally works again on full HP.
Regen prebuff on self give you a less troublesome gameplay and makes you easier react on DoT's.

Thats the only version of it that could (!) actually make sense. Now revise armour formulas, and balance isnt a total catastrophe any more. :P

edit: thanks for implementing that suggestion about the bidding price
editē: This (minor) bug persists: Selecting a category for example weapons without selecting a subcategory will not show a list of all available weapons ,but if you select for example weapons and axes,after this when you select other category as armors will show all available armor parts,but will not work with minerals.
Not all armors will show, only some of them.

Great, now just replace the lousy knight spells and marks HC spell.
My suggestion to improve the HC spell is to make it work like a healing spring or something with an area of 3-6. The marks would cast the spell and it would benefit all players who step in that small little perimeter, giving them the HC bonus. Doubt that would work though, since people want as less Ranged vs Ranged gameplay as possible. If so, make it work like a small aura.

I found this inside Woodor's house. The description says it's required to craft an Arcane Magnanite Weapon.
I like the marksman spell fire arrow. It's going to be one of those funny ones though. Just like freeze, unfreezing a player accidentally in the middle of trouble (where frozen state is actually saving them) will be funny.
It's a good situational spell.

15% cs for Warlocks/Conj is almost "useless" while keeping the same cd-times.
Mana will be the biggest problem.
Your Max of Mana doesnt take effect in longer fights cause you'll simply burn it 15% faster then before.
CD of Ambitious Sacrifice. 25sec - 15% (= 3,75) = 21,25 ~ 21sec
CD of Energie Borrow. 60sec - 15% (= 9) = 51sec
I dont think Mages need -15% on all cds or should get it
....but spells needed to reproduce mana should be changed while burning +15% more mana in the same time by skilling this WM-"spell".
Please have a look to it !
(Dont wanna be the fastes in doing nothing..).
btw: I'm Igni - think about it..
21 + 15% = 24,15 ~24cs
21cs + 4cs (light tunic) + 15% = 28,75 ~29cs.
It's just a lvl16 tunic and pretty hard to wear it in war...but not impossible to wear it.

This is not happening to me with Conjurer's Heal Ally.
Can you please tell us which skill is having such behavior?

I used Heal Ally, Regenerate Ally and Life Saviour. I casted Divine Protection on a player first and healed him to full health, but when he was fully healed, I could still cast my healing spells.
So I thought it might have been something to do with Divine Protection that was still active, but when the duration of that spell was over, I could still cast healing spells.
It was no visual bug either. The ally (knight) could also heal himself even though he was at full health. My guess is it has something to do with Divine Protection.

I found this inside Woodor's house. The description says it's required to craft an Arcane Magnanite Weapon.
Ouch, 20M gold seems a bit steep. Is there anymore info on the new magna
weps? Mostly interested if it will be worth the time and effort and gold
aperantly to get the weps.

Actually leak of magna lb stat is still true. ~120-130 slow 35.
Seen somewhere screen of magna hammer: ~440 blunt dmg slow speed.
Bonuses seem to be kept the same in general.
So i can guess that new magna sword also gonna be ~390 medium, and magna spear and axe will have about same dmg as hammer but other type (cap. obv.).
Staves... well who cares about staves :D

@Frosk is there going to be a way to convert the old mag weapon into the new ones? With that 20 mill or perhaps 40 or something, IDC, it took us as much magna as the new ones, but these are much stronger... U n f a ir.
PS Transmutation thing? means old - to new? \o/

Love the introduction of fire arrow, great to see another suggestion taken on board! I am looking forward to this update, seems to be many positive changes in game play related to the WM status. I do think knight WM spells need some adjustment, but this can be done later I'm sure.
I also can't wait to make use of the auction house, perhaps I can stop buying repair hammers :p.

I do not think more CS is useless. Even with parts of a second it affects the fluency of the casts anf makes mage life easier. As a plus you can save a point if you skill WM spell and remove 1 point from Devotion.
Mana is a problem for mages. It become a problem when cost of some spells was raised. But with better mana balance it is not so big deal.
