Due to the reintroduction of magna trade, i would ask the community to help in the improvement of my magna map (http://manuka.bplaced.de/magnakarte.html). Unfortunately the response rate of the german community has been very low and thats why i now appeal to you.
A java app is used for calculations and I need a broader data base for a better information value of the map. The different colors indicate the number of neighbors in a certain range.
The intention is to find out if and where there are concentrations of sites. It doesn't matter whether there are rocks or treasures (I guess its just one spawn algorithm).
If you want to participate please pn me coords in the form axb (ie: 2319x1387). The best way is to record them on a note while playing and later send me a minimum of 50 coords among each other.
Your ideas and suggestions are also welcome ;)

Hey Manuka, good to see someone take up the torch on this project .. I made the following map about 2 years ago and back then my magna per day rate was around 60 to 80 (Pre boosters) without too much effort. I've tested this map recently and most of the areas still work however the map has changed so much since this was made it’s no longer a fool proof method. Best of luck with your project please pm me when you have enough data.

Hi guys, just so you don't loose your time. It's completely random.
Is it completely random or simply extrapolated from a base centre point of spawning coupled with a circle within which the item may spawn. The equation decides the randomness of the spawn location within this specified circle.
Also the spawn equation is interleaved between treasure and rocks which may randomly yield magna, rock, quartz or amber was it ?
Or I could be entirely wrong about that.

Hi guys, just so you don't loose your time. It's completely random. Thanks for your warning.
But if the spawns are completely random, i expect a relatively homogenous alignment in nearly the same color range(this means all spots have the same number of neighbors) in my resulting map.
Admittedly its still under 1000 spots and my own search preferences unknowingly deform the results in favor of some favorite areas, which i wanted to reduce by this apply. In my opinion the previous results confusingly conflict with chillkos statement, which i believe. Maybe its random but other factors like local player traffic and remoteness are important. As long as the identified areas are more fruitful its fine.
I'm still not completely convinced that my efforts are useless and thats why i will continue for now.

It's all cause of random generator, or , rather, lack of it :D

it's more like jim always looking in the same area, and ppl always taking (on take magna) the same path.
so in the over used path/area less magna cause they are taken fast.
that what i think.

This basically. Let's not forget the fact that a lot of the magna being picked up isn't reported.

Indeed!
Thats why i want to soften the influence of "jims road" and eliminate the weakness of "collector only feedback" by partition of as many as possible different players.
I'm just a very occasional intentional magna collector and the majority of my data is taken by grabbing spots i pass while playing.

It's completely random, when you find places with more magnas is because ppl goes there rarely. When you will tell the community this place has more magnas ppl will go there often and you will never find magnas there again. That simple.
