Heya,
I know there isn't a lot of lore in this game, but the little there is, opposes a class in particular in a particular realm.

What I'm talking about?

According to what I've read, after the Igneo War happened, dark artifacts and spells and magic was discovered. However, research on this was forbidden as some Elves did not want to do anything with dark magic and a prophet predicted that things will go wrong, bla bla bla.
Ok, after that another war erupted, which resulted into a split of 3 factions; Syrtis, Ignis and Alsius.

Where I'm going with this?

The Warlock. More in particular the Necromancy tree.
In Ignis this scenario fits perfectly with its lore, as they explored on dark magic and learned and teached.
In Alsius, more or less, I think it fits good. They may perhaps collected some artifacts and learned more about Nercomancy.
However in Syrtis, it seems to contradicts itself. They forbid the black black magic, however, doesn't the Necromancy contain all of that? Vampirism, Darkness, Soulkeeper and some others.

Do you think Lore should be more in-detail or changed?
Do you think there should be different classes for each realm?

You have a point
Unfortunatly, ngd aren't too good in making stories and implementing them ingame (Lamai Class)

RO has a nice storyline, but it seems NGD doesnt do anything with it.

yess, our dwarves have to rule the battlefield :)
if you put a dwarven barbarian to fight some other barbarian from another realm..
it doesnt matter that your realm is supposed to be the warrior one, ur both equals
same skilltrees etc.

same goes with any other class ofc.

Im a bit sceptical, coz I think this would give a whole turn to balance.

We all know that a team of barbarians will beat about any other team they face in wars
so if you'd go with the realms lore, it might turn out badly

I like RO's lore, it is a shame it has nothing to do with the game(play) itself
but I dont think changing subclasses spells for each realm will do it.

maybe, just maybe, making whole new subclasses to make up for it
but I dont think our nowadays gelf locks will look at them fondly when they tell em
they have to relearn their lock class, or pick another one :s

Alsius - Good. They tried to get away from the fighting, but got involved once they got attacked by Syrtis and Ignis forces.
Syrtis - Evil. They exiled some of their own people over the use of magic, and afterwards hypocritically started using the same magic. Their bigotry against other races remained though, in particular against their dark-coloured brothers.
Ignis - Evil. After being exiled for their opinions on the use of magic the future dark-elves, like their Syrtean brothers turned to evil. A great ritual was performed, 888 souls were sacrificed to make the former elves into dark-elves.

Alsius - Evil. Desiring nothing but wealth and power, they sought to expand their territory from the beginning; being attacked provided the perfect excuse to enter the war and pursue their ambtious goal of imperial rule.

Syrtis - Good. Warned the users of dark magic that they would be exiled, and had no choice but to follow through; lest authority become meaningless. They defend the land they have always lived upon from hostile intruders. They were forced to turn to the dark magic to maintain equal footing in the war.

Ignis - Good. Having been exiled to a harsh, inhospitable environment for nothing more than trying to increase their realm's power, they were forced to use any means available to survive. They understandably want to return to their homeland, where they believe they still have the right to live.

Good and evil are subjective. Everyone is right in their own mind.
More on topic: I have had the same thoughts as you Tamui; but you can see I came up with a rough explanation. The classes being the same in all realms would make more sense if NGD just worked out the lore more thoroughly...

Greedy is not evil, for every-one who saw The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey: Thror is me in X years, except for the "beheaded by Azog"-part :)

Edit: It's such an awesome movie o_O
