Hi everyone!

We uploaded a new version of Champions of Regnum to AMUN. This version added some of the features listed bellow and fixes several issues.

Battlezones:

New: Battlezone "Capture the Flag".
New: The "Team Deathmatch" battlezone map was revamped and it handles the camping issues.
New: Champions coins. By winning a battlezone, all the team members will recieve coins. (preliminary ammount)


Coliseums:

New: "Class Match" mode. Allows to fight against a player with the same Class.


Art:

New: The character's faces were revamped. (except Lamais and Utghars male)
New: Most of character's hairs were revamped.

first of all, the faces look amazing
(female nordo/dwarf, male dwarf)

but..

the hair that used to have a decent çute' look now has an very evil uglyness thingy..
and the hair that looked horrible is actully very sweet now
so.. can i change my hair to goodlooking when this goes on.. looks is all i got :p

EDIT: seems off hand isnt vissible, tried relogging, unequiping - re-equiping, but off hand 'disapears' into armor when outside of combat mode
when you hide armor it seems to come out of thin air when you go to combat stance

The Ximerin shop is bugged on Amun, sometimes you can open it, sometimes you cannot. I can't find out by what it is influenced.

There is a bug about the map: I changed my character and adjusted the size of the map, but I could not close it afterwards. Had to relog.
Reset_powers does not work anymore, nothing happens
EDIT - Yeah, so you have to pay 100 gold at the trainer for reskilling. That's great, but please remove the waiting time, it's useless now. And 100 gold must be kind of a joke..? The whole gold system in Regnum is screwed up (some players own billions of bugged gold), I'd like to suggest a complete reset of all existing gold coints. (And the gold drop system should be revamped then, too). Sorry for OT
EDIT 2 - [BUG] If you reset your powers and click on "train" afterwards, you still have your old skills. You have to re-open the chat window with your trainer.
I personally think that there is some kind of bug concerning the instances. The situation now is just like on the live servers: Hundrets of players clicking "join team deathmatch" and just nothing happens.
Still, I managed to join a CFT-battle: Some Syrtian stole our flag and tried to carry it home, but we killed her. She instantly fell through the bridge on the ground. I jumped behind her, was killed by fallling damage and was being disconnected from the server when resurrecting. This is always the case: When you die, you have to leave the game.
Nothing happens when you have successfully caried an enemies flag to your spawning point.

Just a comment on the new faces and hair, I think this new style totally ruins the regnum look that characters have had for years. And though they look more realistic, in my opinion they are super ugly designs for the most part, and I hope this comes with a free customization scroll for faces and hair because my character looks super bad. The hair is super stagnant for an updated version and all in all the characters lose all of their ro charm. Just my opinion. But I don't see me knight in the amun version I see something from like perfect world :( Your old art was way better!!

Also hair should flow and have it's own animation, at the moment, it looks super solid, especially the male designs for nordo.

I'd rather have old faces, but I know that my opinion won't change anything... BUT if they are putting this update I want free scrolls for face and hair. We created our characters using a chosen set of features which looked nice to us - the problem is that after update this set does not fit together as they used to. The effect? Ugliness all around :dumbofme: (ok, maybe not Nordo females :D)

Pre-generated faces are sooooo 2002. Get with the times instead of living in the shadow of other games. I want a character with depth, not a clone that everyone has.

I get the feeling that somebody put their heart and soul into the female models, and then did the males late at night after getting considerably drunk... :wink:

Also, even though female faces look for the most part very nice close up, most faces in my opinion look worse than before when zoomed out, which is the distance we all spend the most time at...


Most importantly though: Just as it has been on Haven the last month, nobody seems to be able to join any instances! :confused:

I don't really mind the new faces even if males characters (and especially humans) could be improved. I also hope this brings more face/hair customisation because they have been are still are very poor.
Also I really hope we will get a free Plastic surgery & hair change just like when newer characters models were introduced.

I also confirm CTF seems non-functional. Impossible to join it even after hours of waiting. I would have expected some improvement concerning instance joining, like showing the queue, ability to cancel, etc... but still nothing yet :(.

no, that's the point, NGD can do whatever they want, and most of us will keep playing anyways. Nobody has to do anyhing here. Making suggestions etc. is ok, but I don't understand why somebody would blame the developers for having the wrong strategy in progress, it's just their own business.

I like the new faces for humans, dark elves and half elves and dwarves.
Half elves have now sharp nose that I love. Elves got nose that looks like potato and that I don't like. Molok's(female) eyebrows make them look stupid. Human males I also don't like and didn't check other races male versions.

I would wished we could choose the nose and other things for our faces to make them more customizable. But if you like to go that way, I think it is ok too, but I still find it boring people have same faces as there is just few of them to choose from. More faces be available in future?

Also I love the new hair models! However, I also hope in future you will add more (free) hairs to choose from. Right now molok females have only like 3 different hairs to choose from. I think regnum is weak at this point, other games I have played offered like 20 or more different faces(if the face not fully customizable) and hairs to choose from.


One thing that I want to report. Since such major graphic changes are coming, I hope you finally bother to pay attention to the Plastic surgery which is premium item.
Even when zoomed in maxed, it is still hard to see your face more detailed. It is nearly impossible to see which eye color you choose. Also on opengl the background of this item is bugged.

I don't want to spend over 5 euros for this item, notice the face I chosed actually looks different in game because the preview is too small to see the changes properly.


Can't really atm comment other changes on amun, as instance matches are not either working or there is not enough players online at this moment.

I just want to say - please bring the new update online with free haircuts and plastic surgery for everyone who got a new face. Although the new faces are good, I don't like the way my characters look, since I didn't choose the faces this time, but they were forced on me instead.

If NGD takes this opportunity to farm more money from us, I will be severely disappointed...

New haircuts & faces are a positive thing in attracting new users - people with decent computers will appreciate this. More variability in look is a positive change. Keep in mind, that the graphics department doesn't effect the programming.

Although I don't like the new look of some of my characters, and I would like to redesign them, I seriously doubt, that anyone will get a free "plastic surgery". Of course, that this is a perfect opportunity for ngd to make some more money. Tbh, I understand that. I will not invest into my character look, because my computer doesn't allow me to view good graphics in the game anyway.

The visual aspect in the game is designed to lure money from the players. In my oppinion, that's way better (for the users) than if the content of the game was paid for. Therefore, I agree with what NGD did. Perhaps, I don't have the best looking characters, but I can still play the game. This is way better for me, than if I had great looking characters, but had to pay to play.

I will test the instances later on, and will comment on them. This "first sight" is just my reflection on other people oppinions.

So I got a chance to check out Amun. All in all I can say that NGD did a really good job with the new faces although the human races look pretty crappy. Dwarfs certainly look more dwarf-like now and Moloks are simply awesome looking.

Last time NGD did a graphical update to a characters looks, a quest was given out in your home city and the reward was a plastic surgery scroll. I would guess that NGD could recycle that quest again for this update.

Also while NGD's graphics department is working on this, its about time we added the ability for uthgars and lamai's to show their helmets.

Armors so don't match with the new faces. Redesign armors or something - or at least the armor from lvl 3 - 55. Especially the pt armors, like you did with the pt weapons.

How will surgery help exactly? I've created new characters on Amun and all of the male wood elves look awful.

When this goes live, everyone that has a male character will either wear a mask all the time or change genders.

I too have noticed that dwarfs hasn't received anything new in the hair department. I guess its okay because we were pretty awesome looking in the first place.

Actually, both buttons are needed. When you train your character, you don't need to spend all the power points or discipline points, so there must be a possibility to enter train dialog without resetting current setup.


What I would like to see in train dialog is:
Incrementing tree level in logical steps: 1, 3, 5, 7, 9, 11, 13, 15, 17, 19. No one needs tree level 18. Either 17 or 19.
Saving current setups for easier switching. For example, I can have two setups for my conju: support and warju. I would like to be able to select already saved setup with a single click.
Reset powers time to be set to 0 seconds, with confirmation dialog.

There is simply a thing that concerns me.. we chose our char because we liked the way it was.. with this new update.. if we dont like our char, we must stick with it, unless we pay..
