I've been considering starting a toon on Ra again, but I haven't been there in so long idk what it's really like there anymore. Is the realm balance situation better there? Or is it just as bad, just with a higher population? Are there still many english speakers there? Are there dead hours like on Haven? Etc etc.
I was thinking of spending some money on a barb in Haven, but I might use it to get a hunter or conj on Ra instead, if it turns out I like it there more. So I'd like some opinions from people who still play there.

I am not very active there, but sometimes I still play my hunter on RA.
However, whenever I played, realm balance seemed to be alot better than on Haven.
Dead Hours? I don't think so, I always found action there.
In Ignis there are still some english speakers in "The Immortal Legends", prolly even more clans which i just don't know.
In Alsius "Valhalla" is still active.

Exactly, Inmortal legends an english active clan in Ignis can help u: The Mow, Zordak, Hullio, etc. Ra is more fun than haven now.
I miss Hephy in Ra :(
Salud! ;)

The balance between realms now is good in general, but depends times, too. Syrtis when in Argentina is night they hace more people, but in the morning Ignis and Alsius are more...

Thanks for answers so far. Some further questions:
What about invasions, do they happen often? Are there boosts of any kind? Are grind spots constantly camped (by other grinders or hunt groups)? Is it difficult to hunt alone there? I'm guessing the average player has relatively OP gear?

Invasions don't happen often from what I've seen, I don't play that much though so I might not be the best person to answer that.
Are grind spots constantly camped (by other grinders or hunt groups)?
It's way harder to grind on RA, the popular grind spots in WZ like the orc camps, the castle beaches etc. are hotspots for enemy encounters. There are usually lots of allies around though, and more often than not you can get a nice fight there.
Is it difficult to hunt alone there?
Depends on your class and what time of the day, at the busiest times it can be quite hard since it's hard to cross bridges and to find lone players.
I'm guessing the average player has relatively OP gear?
I would say the opposite, my observation has been that players from smaller servers always seems to have the most OP gear :P

Invasion attemps happen every day.
Leveling is much easier in Europen mornings. Evening is awesome for war.
HUnting alone is still possible but depends on your luck and route.

The Mow. Been so long since I saw that name, odd knowing players I knew back on early Ra before Horus still play. Glad to see it though. - Mage Pegusas(Ignis Ra 2007 XD)
