The difference between a lv 5 and lv 4 knock is 1 second. And knocks are resisted half the time, it's smarter to use a lv 5 one if you have the points to spare to guarentee an extra hit, especially if you're a knight because when you catch something you better freaking capitalize on it. i use a lv 4 kick to get 2 hits in and a shield bash and a lv 5 feint to guarentee three or maybe 4 strikes from a medium weapon. The players who think they're pro with lv 1 cc's that lose constantly and blame the others set up are the real 'pro' yup :p
You're not a pro because you handicap yourself in a fight.
Everyone has the ability to skill whatever they want for whatever playstyle they do, why skill valuable skills at the same level a level 10 can skill his.

It's not about handicapping yourself, it's about having more variety of skills. Some skills really aren't needed at 5. Your only argument that was valid was feint 5.
I use some skills at 1, it's not because I want to be pro is that I don't need them all at 5.
In the end of the day you're free to play as you wish, but both arguments is really about personal opinions.

And I agree with you. But there are people who think they are pro because they use lv 1 skills or lv 4 instead of 5, it makes me laugh:p

A brilliant vid and excellent game play the tactic of hitting mobs with intimidate like that is genius, the CC's max level are a necessity for what he does. He hunts alone on a knight. A KNIGHT people the slowest class in the freaking game. If you get caught by him it's not he who sucks for having lvl 5 cc's it's the retard who got caught BY A KNIGHT

Of course, the levels of spells are here for a reason - anyone can use it, if he/she sees fit to do so. However, if a knight defeats me using kick 5, feint 5, disabling limb 5 , combining it with ms 5, I will have much less respect, than for a knight, who uses more spells, levelled to lower power. Variability in spells usually shows the ability to improvise, and in some cases is better, because one resist doesn't screw you up so much.
Also, the skill level has to be also responding to the players gear - if the player does low dmg, because of his equipment, I see no harm done using higher cc's.
I know a knight, who uses level 1 knock and feint, and is regarded as one of the best knights on the servers. I never heard of him bitching of too low cc duration.

True, but this really depends on situation. If, as a warloc, I stick my nose out of any castle (in attemtp to tm, or something), and get instantly CC'd, there is not much I could have done.. maybe log out or suicide when the enemy hits the door - but that's not really "pro", is it?
Lastly, some spells are just to troll people on lvl 5 - if a player uses lvl 5 darkness on you, you will most likely mutter a disgraceful sentence on his amount of skill ;)

This is true but the video isn't anything to to with fort war, he's hunting in open field ON A KNIGHT. He set up specifically for hunting catching and killing. On one of the slowest classes, yes he has intimidate 5 etc but still to actually catch and kill his enemy he needs it
If he had offensive stance 5 then i would agree the dudes a noob - as it stands he doesn't give people who should have been able to keep him away a chance to get back up. Dudes a baws
