Full TDM
no music and edit (even forgot to cut program in the beginning :P)
so yea probably boring.
Also kinda a quality test, first video with high settings.
Maybe interesting for those who haven't seen new map yet.

Great vid, one of the first times I see myself :P :D
TDM's give the game an area, where the action can concentrate, I am expecting some nice fights, and vids to emerge :D

Well, that too. But its also very confusing, no real overview, hard to remember spawn points and it just feels tight while there is sometimes much running to actually find the enemies. And it isnt pretty.

I guess, that it's quite difficult to create maps, that would not give an advantage to warriors :P, but a bit more open space would be nice imo.
Enio,
Stop killing me plz.

Imho old map wasnt totally bad for warriors, few more trees or rocks should have helped. That i also miss on current. Its a bit dull. Evry corner looks the same etc..
Really do not understand why they totally dumped the old map, it was nice.

I agree, I liked the older map as well. The problem with it was probably the unused space below (also giving opportunity to suicide), and the fact that the structures near the cliffs (in the centre) were used to get behind the enemy. It also gave an advantage to marksmen.
Perhaps it would be nice to have few different maps, that would be randomly selected for the instance - that way you wouldn't know which classes would have the advantage in the instance..

Nice vid skit!
Totally love TDM! We should try CTF once, they might use the old map for ctf.
oh and a little warning, Dont buy these potions... From what I've heard they only give +5 dex/str/as/cs etc. Can't confirm this yet tho

I quite liked the map used. Its simple as straight to the point. I didn't find that I needed to run around too much to find action. It would be nice if there was multiple maps and it randomly selected one every time just to keep it interesting. Perhaps the old map was intended to be used for capture the flag. Has anyone tried that yet?
One thing that could help is being able to see the map which will allow us to see the location of your team mates. I find that once you die, you're kind of lost and its hard for your team mates to describe where they are.
Also, everyone in the game should automatically get added to a party. There shouldn't be a need to have to invite everyone separately at the start of the game.
Also scorecards are a bit unfair because it favors barbarians and I find that as a warlock alot of my kills don't count due to finishing the enemy off with a DoT. I would imagine hunters with pets have the same issue. Not that the individual score is of any importance or anything though.
Other than that I thoroughly enjoyed the game even though I was pretty terrible at it. Can't wait to play some more once NGD fixes that damn crash issues created by the last patch.

As a Hunter I can actually be of some importance, it's just difficult not to get killed by Barbs as I prefer a 25 fast / 30 med bow and it's really hard to see who is the enemy, there should be like, signs above our heads or something.
Green sign for Syrtis
Red sign for Ignis
Blue sign for Alsius
This way it's actually clear who is who, because I saw a Goat running into the mob of people (Igneans and Syrtians) and he wasn't detected, added to that he was a Barb, so he could do astounding damage in a matter of seconds.
Perhaps there should be some point system, look at a hunderd TDM matches and look at the average Barbarian kills / Marksman / etc.
Then make something like this:
Barbs: 10 / 6 (amount of kills) = 1,67 point per kill
Marksman: 10 / 5 (amount of kills) = 2 point per kill
Knight: 10 / 4 (amount of kills) = ...
Hunter:
Lock:
Conj:
If you take a look at a hunderd TDM matches (or more if you want to, since the more the better) you get a good view of how much each kill weights. Because a Barbarian obviously is able to kill more then a Lock / Hunter or something.
So:
- Point system (which should be displayed somewhere) with weighted kills, so not every class gets the same points for a kill.
- Everyone in party from the beginning
- Make a map so you can easily see where your allies are.
- Perhaps cross-server TDM / CTF?

@the class based points
As I said in other threads, dont bother thinking about "balancing" scores on class (yes with 1k normals its easier to get a kill, its also harder to reach someone if you're melee) but before that would happens, you would also have to balance level, gear, and not to mention looking at things like how they score in most fights, some players have 10/1 K/D, others have 1/10...

Not to mention that with a ratio of 10/1 points/kill, everyone would just start playing warjurer.

Yes everyone is going to grind a Conju specially to do TDM, but I think there should be some sort of class-balancing system, because as you see now there are like 70% Barbs, which get most kills, in the TDM environment it's not hard to catch someone with a Barb, if it was explain to me how it is there are so many Barbs, and that Barbs got most kills most of the times? Plus I use my Knight in TDM myself and I've got anything but difficulties catching a person in TDM, a barb is faster so it should be even easier.
Btw I haven't seen a Warju / Lock yet with more then 4 kills, that's because if 1 Barb gets to you, which one will, your defences are useless, in 10 seconds a Barb can easily kill you, or any marks for that matter.
Balancing gear should have been done much earlier, but it didn't happen and I have only seen Vincent with OP gear, but even with his OP gear he doesn't hit me above 200 normally.
Perhaps add a minimum to it: like 10/4 = minimum?

Lol. How about recognising different races and knowing where your team is at? Signs above peoples head make is so that everyone can see you, no matter where you are on their screen. Means while you're killing one person, you can automatically spot the next person coming before you would normally see them.. the game doesn't need to be that easy.

No but as supportive conj it is impossible to see who is friend / enemy in the mob of people, when the 3 Realms clash, 2 barbs can easily run towards you without knowing they are coming at you. If there are 20 people running next to eachother and you're at 10m distance and someone comes at you with pirate clothing or something I find it difficult to react fast, sure holding V is an option, but isn't a long-term solution
Atleast a sign above your teammates heads + on the map.

But holding V all the time isn't really something I want to do every time I enter TDM, do you?

Theres a reason i changed it to [F] - its your biggest frient in groupfights and in general to identify enemies without hovering over them.

Sure, but whatever key it is, in the other games I play there is an option to show signs above the team mates to be able to recognize them being a supportive class. It's better than having to click F or V all the time.

I agree, it could be nice to have an option there. On the other hand it can be nice to not have this shown to allow sneaking from the back and hiding at trees etc to be harder to spot.
A mark for allies could be nice though.

It's true such an option would be great but, as I doubt it will be available soon, I suggest you to use Space key rather than V or F so your thumb can feel useful (except if you like jumpimp a lot).
