Congratulations NGD with releasing CoR on steam, but were we really prepared for this? lol :D Today i spotted at least 50 newcomers in and around skolheim! holy **** the dummies barely spawned fast enough for them to complete their quests :huh:

We have around the same number of newcomers in Syrtis, Mr Negative. A lot more archers though! :p

The problem in alsius is that nobody seems to want to play the awesome uthar :(
Almost every newcomer is a boring Nordo or rabbit :facepalm3:

I would guess, that most steam users are english based, therefore Haven should get more players than Ra. Feel free to correct me, if I'm wrong.

RA players already suffering from low mob numbers for ages I guess, and did NGD increase mobs respawn there / anywhere?
I doubt they will do anything about the issue, don't get me wrong, I'm all for it so let's hope they will.....
If there are no mobs boosters won't sell, at least I didn't buy any when there was a server boost on, it was absolutely pointless to buy one, there were no mobs to kill because everyone was killing em. Waste of a booster. Just my thoughts.
OT: Grats for steam NGD, let's hope it'll do the miracle... partly :).

I asked Chilko in game about boosting spawn rate for at least the quest mob spawns, he said it was "not that easy to fix", which i understood to mean that it's not simply a configuration option, but probably needs to be changed in the code, and most likely needs to be modified per each different spawn...
Still I think they should fix it, although most players do know this problem from other games, especially during launch phases.

Yeah, I hope they do fix it. I've already seen people struggling to find mobs for quests even on realm chat. It was hard enough to grind as it was with the low population, I am not looking forward to grinding my next character!
We should try to encourage some more group grinding though, if a bunch of archers get together and get a hit each on a mob, they should gain XP at a much faster rate. Same of course goes for warriors/mages. Back when they raised the cap to 60, we had a lot of large group grinds taking place, as a knight using auras on archers while they pew pew worked out quite well for me!

Yep the Lycan quest is already starting to get pretty much impossible, those who have quested a level 30 in alsius will know of the silver ring quest and that there is actually only 3-5 Lycans at any one time makes this hard enough for a single person let alone 20 - 30 at the same time will cause massive rages/kill stealing rages.
I for one cannot wait to see them xD

A while ago, GS GMs used to make a spawn boost where one would spawn like 50 creatures at once, providing MASSIVE LAG for me till they respawned.

This, it was kind of like a monster invasion forgot what they called it now but it was a massive spawn of mobs in one place.
Hell didnt surak used to do it to random people with aggro mobs? xD
Downside to this is that the GM's have to be ever present just to spawn mobs and manually enter in code to spawn.
