Ye I agree totally man. I tried to keep it open field as much as possible, but if i'm at super low hp i'll try to use a tree a little. My damage is a lot less, but I'd rather fight in open field.. and with treehumping all he needs is one knock on me to kill me.

I agree. It also fix more balance issues than it creates, so its usually a more fair fight if a tree is involved.

But I dont think treehugging or kiting belongs in "PvP duels".

VV should really take off his boss gear for duels as well. Bosswhore all you want, but when you duel someone grow a pair of balls and fight on more equal terms.
Granted that Monday may have wanted a challange rather than a fair fight. :D

I can understand if one does not want to do that.

Its quite confusing to go from better gear back to worse. I personally need a while to acclimate to such a big change as such change limits the playstyle you are used to.

I personally would prefer my opponent to get gear lent to get a match in damage/defense/other stats. He might not use it to its full potential but it will not limit his playstyle he is used to.

My gear is far from spectacular lol, most of it was dropped or given to me, and it has just what I need. My bows were both given to me. :p

sorry if it gave you that impresion i didnt aim it at you, not even him. was talking more in genaral terms about all those uber boss geared players who think they good becoz they can hit harder, faster, have more defence more health more mana and everything more coz of their boss gear and egos as big as a mountain.

when i used to hunt with a few syrtis i would get these sudden 600-700 normal hit 1k crit and 1200 ensnares from op geared hunters from miles away.how am i suppsed to compete that im just a mage. so it just pisses me of.

I rate you as best hunter in haven server current simply becos of skill patience and team elemnt you bring into play. i have lost many fight against u and your team but its not becoz of gear. we have uber boss whores in syrtis too.

I see Duels as a chance to train some specific skills in a very controlled environment. Changing your configuration would be counterproductive in that sense. At least as long as you have Grp vs Grp fights in mind when tuning your config (as i do).

I enjoy friendly pvps and organised group fighting. We had a nice group fight or two today - Enio + Monday VS Downloading + Intercept / Enio + Monday + Zeeph (>.<) vs Downloading, DFA + Intercept. Alsius won the first fight, Ignis the latter.

Waiting for BPR to get back to organise a proper tournament as such.

Nothing personal, but I had seen many people claiming they play "only with special and magical items" and then I saw them later on, selling stuff on commerce channel, and when I saw that I was only wondering "damn he is SELLING that, so what has he left for himself?!" There were no magical or special stuff at all, if you catch my drift.

I understand what you're saying. I started making hunter videos when I had special only gear, and my epic bows from marks. Compost saw them and passed me on my helm (5% armour bonus) and I think gaunts. I boxed a little on my hunter, got a few epics and such. I quit the game for a few months though, and didn't plan on coming back - so I gave my gear away to Cold Blooded. (Some really nice stuff :p)

When I came back I rebuilt a little, got my helm back and friends gave me some bows. The gear that I posted in the screenie is magical/special mainly, but it works great for me - good resists, some extra % pierce resist, good armour points, 5% attack speed, 5% cast speed and 3% more cast speed on my longbow. It's exactly what I need for my hunter gear really.

I'd also like to have a fight or two with you sometime :)

It would make no sense to do this - he's learned to play with it, he has it, so he may as well use it. A friend offered to let me use his dragon amulet for the pvps, I declined because I don't normally use one, and it would just be playing with something I don't have, would defeat the purpose of pvp. :)
