First, I do not know how to speed hack, second I would not want to learn how to. I enjoy the game, any game, without the urge to cheat it. Now I was a bit laggy from a visit to the dragon's lair, perhaps that was it or perhaps I was reported as a way for ignis to get rid of a Conjurer defending Meni. If your system is such that people get bans by griefers you really need to look at your system and fix it. If you are handing out bans due to your own game's lag, you again need to review your system. If you are handing out bans because of horns and other speed skills granted to groups then again you need to review your system of banning people.

Others before you complained about being banned for speed hack, one after buying a mount, other just because, and other for using leggings with +speed movement bonus*. It looks like something is broken here ^^

*not really in mood for searching the forum to give links

Steam COR forum is full of "banned for nothing" threads as well http://steamcommunity.com/app/222520/discussions/#p2

Well I have contact Steam, NGD and Game Semba about this issue. I have suggested that Steam investigate this and the non-restores on the hacked accounts issue and re-assess their association with this product if nothing is done. I did warn here I was close to such a move and the process is now begun.

I think there's some sort of auto-detection system in place for speed hacks, and it seems that lately it has been giving false positives. Submit a ticket, I think if they actually check the ticket before your ban is expired, there's a good chance they'll reverse it.

Hi Krungle,

I lifted the ban on your account.

If you're willing, I'd like to ask you:

Do you use any kind of software to "improve" your computer's perfomance? like Ram Booster or similar.

Best,

I turn off my anti-virus and Advanced System Care when playing the game (when I remember to) as it does cause lag, but I often run the game with Team Speak and winamp up and sometimes firefox. My RAM usage often is in the 80% while playing. ASC does have a RAM Booster as part of it (one reason I try to remember to turn it off).

My internet connection averages around 10-15 megs which is about three times what my service provider says it normally delivers (took me two years to get such a good signal from them).

If the game crashes I will often run ASC to fix errors, often finding four errors in 'internet connection' that I do not get with any other software crashes. I can record those errors and send you a screeny of them next time it happens. Once I run ASC I have to close it on the taskbar next to the clock otherwise it does run in the background. Admittedly, I may have played the game once in a while with ASC running in the background, but I will not remove it from my system because it keeps my computer performing well, keeping my registry defragged and orphaned registry items out of the system when I do software updates and orphaned DLLs at bay. I will try to remember to keep it off while playing the game as it will lag me if I am in any kind of high traffic area. I do know, positively, that when I received the ban ASC was not running.

However, I am not the first person that got such a false positive in this game and your detection system needs to be looked into. I find it odd that the ban occurred when I was playing my L45 Conj for the first time in RvR, having had that toon inside of the wall for nearly all of its life. I got a horn speed boost while invading Green Inner, hung around Noble for a bit then button-died back for the Dragon wish. After that I rode out to Meni and was fighting there when I got ban-booted. Makes me wonder if someone filed a false report to get rid of a Goat Conjurer, one that was killing, rooting, and silencing as much as healing. I would have to look but I do think I might have a casting speed boost on that toon's equipment.

Anyway, like I said, I know that my game session from today did not have ASC running. I also know I was getting tons of buffs, including speed buffs, since before the last green relic was taken. If your tool can't figure out the difference between lag, an in-game buff, or whatever, and an actual speed hack, you need to retire that tool until you find a new one.

Hi,

The automatic ban is not related at all to character speed measures or connectivity issues. It only detects suspicious alterations to the game client, and there's a high chance that's related to software installed on your machine.

However, we'll take a look. If you can provide any more info, we'll be more than thankful.

Best,

Alright! Thanks a lot.

Since your case will be continued at the Support System, I'll close this thread.
