Dear,
Today a quite old player come to grind for the first time since 3 years. Usually he used this character to support teammate (conjurer) .
In 4 hours he dropped at least 15 items while me in 2 hours ( at same time) i got 3 items.
So this maybe show that the amount of drop get previously will maybe affect luck to drop something.
If that is the case is maybe better to grind one time by month than weekly.
what is your feeling with luck to drop ?

I'm a Realm Tasker, and tend not to grind too often unless a boost is on. Last boost, I was grinding for 3 hours, and dropped 6 items, 3 of which happened together one kill after another.
I get the feeling it is random, but how the randomiser works, I have no idea.

It probably works like the random resists... so like crap.

what 'random'? This game's random number generator needs updating.
I was always told the drop system was completely 'random', but I really would like to know how the system works. Anyone know more about this?

Drop rate also depends on what kind of mobs to you grind. Monsters usually drop more than other creatures, while golems and ghosts drop the least.
When I grind cyclopses between pp1-pp2 I usually get 4-6 drops in 1hr, while at swamp at night it is 1-2 in average.

Firstly, the drop rate tends to come in "bursts", you'll drop alot of items at one grind session, and no items at another. This is caused by poor entropy in the server's random number generation pool and over-reuse of generated numbers (its a complex topic, which I won't get into).
Futhermore the drop rate depends on your level, and the difficulty of the mobs you grind. Lower level players drop quite often (in the first ten levels, as often as once every five mobs or so), and unchallenging mobs will drop nothing while challenging/hard mobs have a much higher drop chance.
There are no mobs above normal at 60, and most are easy, so your drop rate will always be poor.
