Strictly speaking, this is a bannable offense, and against the rules.
However, people get around ths by not mentioning it in realm chat unless they are 100% confident a GM is not around, and no one is going to screenshot them. Also, the GameSamba GM team have recently adopted a very carefee attitude to the rules as player retention is so bad on Haven that they will only ban for the very worst offenses. Even spamming realm chat earns you a 30 minute mute now.
Basically, the unwritten rule is if you want to trade for ximerin, do it quietly, and dont advertise it.

if they were doing a deal via paypal or something that would be against the TOS if it is via xim is not against the TOS
we wont ban their account for it if they do it with xim, but if they get scammed they can kiss the xim goodbye
but we always advise players not to use xim to buy things as we will not offer support to such trades

i wonder how WoW and other mmos cope with such things. From the above, I think Regnum GM's are being sensible.

I doubt NGD intends on banning people for spending money on ximerin.

WoW is a pay to play game and has no premium currency. Furthermore since it has no "Item Mall", everything in the game is attainable with some effort and most items such as gladiator or raid gear are untradeable anyway so there is no need to ever buy something from someone with real cash.
And about xim trading. My opinion is the same as Gruffy's, go ahead and do it if you want but don't cry to the GM if you get screwed over.

Linuxmage, it is possible to buy xim as a gift in this game. So, giving some xim to another person is legal. And of course giving some game-stuff to another person is legal too. Why do you think the sum of these two actions becoms illegal? Any proofs or links?

It is legal, but if someone cheats you and you lose some item or money, NGD will do nothing

And rightfully so.

oh well, maybe games like f2p Rift or Silkroad online.
i guess the positionis the same -- allow it but warn no customer support is available for it.

Point to becnoticed is :
If you selling an item for xim. ! You should give that guy item first or you should ask for xim first. NVM any 1 of the 2 can still be cheated somehow !!

Buying Ximerin for oneself is legal. Buying Ximerin as a GIFT for other user is legal. Selling an item for Ximerin (involving gifting system) is illegal. We will not ban for this, but there is no kind of support from our side, as it is not an intended feature.
Those who do this, are assuming the risk of being scammed. Both parties.
I'd recommend no to do it.
