Perhaps a yellow icon to signify when the server is under maintenance? That way it will be easy to tell if the server is only down for a short amount of time and we can recheck accordingly. I'm not sure how those notifications are hooked up and how easy that would be to implement!

It can be yellow. Of course, as simple as things sound, in this case there are several systems involved that need modification.

I totally understand. I recently wrote a connector API that talks to an object mapper, that talks to RPC-XML, that then finally talks to OpenERP. All of that just to pull some data from a server.. the problem sounds simple, but the solution almost never is! Anyways, good luck. Would be very handy to have live notifications on the website regarding the servers health. Much appreciated! :-)

Any news about the API ?

Since the old rankings are down for a while, I don't want to program my scripts on regnum-online.de new when when API is coming soon...

i dont know if anyone has said this (was too lazy to read all the replys)
but adding the old rp rank system would be nice. even tho lots of the old players(for all time rp) that are up there at the top, dont play anymore. Its really nice to remember the "legends" i guess u could say. also provides a bigger challenge to get on the rankings.
just a thought.

Updates on this topic:

A new API for fansites is available for testing. The requirements are:

- Static IP (hosting)
- cURL and JSON support

To those with fansites who are interested, you can email me to adrian (at ngdstudios (dot com.

About the rankings, doing other tasks I may have found a way to take into account RPs obtained before the Ranking update. No promise, just letting you know I will try it as soon as I can.

Also, please keep on suggesting!

I generally develop on my laptop before finally pushing it to my staging VPS, then eventually Live. Therefore, initially I don't have a static IP. Do you open the api based on IP allow list?
