Here's my 2-cents blast-from-the-past:

Game as it is, was & is designed for RA, a large online population server. The merger of RA with Piranha means it's even bigger & that just widens the gap between RA & all other CoR servers. Either a merger of Haven/Nemon/Valhalla must be done to keep ongoing & changing game balance & game invasion mechanics functionally effective ... OR ... this game must be newly coded in some way to address the difference in server populations, so that CoR is scaleable (variable strength guards/doors & variable length timers) based on existing online populations. The current one-size-fits-all-servers game-model just isn't working well, at least not on Haven.

It's almost certain to happen; we're at 4 servers now & counting down; another ball will drop eventually, then another; it's just a matter of when....

Only way it won't happen is for Gamigo &/or GameSamba to no longer want to have their servers running, but also don't want to allow NGD use of their proprietary player-databases (& only if the contracts with NGD allow such a petty & vindictive option).
