Braveheart had a 2 handed rapier

It was cut thin on the sides, made of a light metal. Well maybe it wasn't more of a rapier, like you said it ruins the concept of them as they are weapons for swift thrusts. But still like his weapon :??

See, the only problem I see with dual wield is.... can you really picture a guy running around with 2 spears in his hands? Or 2 maces/hammers? It makes the Dual Wield concept limited to slashing, thin weapons. (Rapier, Sword, Axe)
